I have a long haired double thick coat Chi about 9 pounds. This shampoo is like water and just a small amount is all that is needed for a lot of lather and great herbal sent. What I love the most is that is rinses off quickly! My girl does not like a bath so this is perfect it goes on quick and rinses off even quicker! The herbal sent stay on her for a couple of weeks however she is a lap dog so she does not get into a lot of dirt. No skin issues like inching or flaking.

This shampoo works better than the toxic chemical shampoos on my shitzu Daisy. When rinsing the shampoo off her, I have seen dead fleas go down the drain more than once. We live in the bluffs near lots of trees and deer ticks. Normally we would find an attached deer tick on Daisy every couple weeks. But since using Cloud 9 weekly I've only found one tick and it was already dead. I'm guessing the repellant property wears off by the end of the week so that's when the tick attached. But when I gave her a bath the tick was killed (it just didn't let go of it's grip even though dead). This is the second summer tick season using Cloud 9 and I will never switch to any other brand. It does dry out her fur a little but it's totally worth it to have the tick protection.

I purchased this item along with the Halo Herbal dip after one of my dogs had a severe reaction to Frontline Plus. Since I no longer can use the Frontline (or other products like it) I needed to find an alternate way to help prevent fleas. I bathe my dogs abour every other week with this shampoo and I use the herbal dip weekly. The shampoo smells nice, much like citronella, and it is very easy to rinse out of my dogs. The shampoo leaves them with beautiful, shiny, clean coats. One of my dogs picked up a few fleas on a recent vet visit. I bathed all three of my dogs with this shampoo and then used the herbal dip. Since then I have not seen anymore fleas. I'm hoping that this product will continue to help me to control fleas over the summer months. So far I am very pleased with this product and I intend to buy it again.

Excuse me I typed this in the wrong section....wanted to put this in the CedarCide section. Have used this product before - 5,6,years ago... I do believe the insects, (fleas) included, are becoming more resistent to all things that kill them though. Kind of like our systems become resistent to antibiotics if we are over use them. I still like Cedarcide along with other perfectly natural plain household items. Like salt and... Put salt on the rugs / furniture (anthing that can be vacuumed & use CedarCide to spray other parts of your house that are hard to get at. But you need to keep at w/it ritualistically, vacuuming & cleaning like everyone says. I have had more of a problem there, because my house is cluttered. My bad!!! But I do like this shampoo very much.

I love this shampoo and the quality of it and all of the Halo products I've used thus far (ear cleaner, eye cleaner, spot's stew), but this shampoo is EXTREMELY watery. I understand that it does not contain dangerous foaming agents, but I don't understand why they can't make it a little thicker. It just pours out of the bottle like water and I feel like a lot is wasted and a lot is required to get the dog fully soaped up. It also feels so cold coming out of the bottle because of this, unlike the shampoo I use on myself (and I use paraben/Sodium Lauryl Sulfate free products).Otherwise, it does foam up nicely when you put a lot on, gets my pups clean and leaves their coats soft and smelling lovely.

I have 2 6 lb poodles they go to the groomers the third Thursday of every month. I take my own Shampoo and leave it at the groomer. The groomer have been using cloud nine on my dogs for approx. 3 years now not sure how long they are 12 and 13. Last month I ran out at the groomers so they used their hypo allergenic shampoo. Well that was not Good they both broke out in little sores and itched all over the only thing that changed in their life was the shampoo. They had to go on antibiotics ( I hate meds) and the vet said it was an allergic reaction to something only thing changed is shampoo. I now received my cloud nine shampoo and they are no longer itching. This is such a clean shampoo. Please NEVER stop making it. My dog say thank you Halo!

I've been using this shampoo for about 7 years now and I love it. I have a lab mix rescue. When I first got her, her fur was course and dry. Since using this shampoo in addition to giving her a great, healthy diet with krill oil, her fur is super soft now. I don't even need to use conditioner.Gives a good lather and rinses off very easily. I love the way it smells too. I hope Halo never stops making it.I only wish it came in a clear bottle so I can keep track of how much shampoo I have left so I'll know when I need to get a new bottle.
