Awesome Product. Great construction!
I love this mount, I'm really a fan of one peice optic mounts vs a picatinny. Felt great with the OEM stock as well as the Magpul Hunter. Just spraypainted it satin black yesterday to make it match my receiver; its a non reflective brushed aluminum finish when you get it. I'm using it with a Holosun 403GL, but it's supposed to work with any optic with an Aimpoint T2/H2 footprint. Another commenter said it didn't work with his Romeo 5, but I've had both a Romeo and the Holosun mounted on a Midwest mount on another rifle... so I don't know why it wouldn't work with this one- they're interchangeable in my experience. Construction is aluminum, feels solid yet light. I will buy this product again if I get another 22.

Love this thing
Awhile back, I bought the front one that has the Honey comb (anti glare lense cover) and a cover that looks like this built into one unit (I dont think its on amazon, its around $40-50 bucks)... With the others, the flip up to a 90 degree angle (straight forward).... This rear cover was different, When I installed it (You will think its only just barely because of the ridge on the optic that stops it but be sure to push it over the ridge, not as hard as people make out but maybe we have diff models.) Cool thing was when I pulled the tab it flipped it and instead of it aiming at me it went UP & then "Over" and rested on the top rail with a tight snap to it as if spring loaded. I liked that alot cuz it didnt stick out or look tacky like my other one does (compared to this).. Great product!!

You can't go wrong with the company that makes the optic and the lens cover for them.
They are Aimpoint made. Sure there are other options, you could buy three or four Butler Creek caps for this price. And you'd need them all since they break when you breath on them. Unlike this seemingly rock solid, bullet proof Aimpoint lens cap. Made by the guys who make the optic. It fits with no issue, closes and stays closed. It fits onto the ridge on the optic body to stay in place. There are other options, but there aren't better ones. This is the example of buy once and cry once.

Perfect replacement except not ambidextrous???
Easy replacement for my Aimpoint Comp ML2 rear flip cap. The spring went bad on the original, thus this replacement. The only difference is that the original had ambidextrous tabs (right and left) to open it. This one only has the left tab, which I suppose is okay since I use my left hand to flip it open. Wouldn't take much to have both tabs on this product, so I don't know why the right one is missing??? Didn't take a star off for this issue but probably should have.

Nice cap, should come with the Aimpoint, hard to install
Nice, sturdy cap. Considering it costs $800 for an Aimpoint Comp M4s sight, Aimpoint Comp sights should come with these flip caps, instead of having to pay $20 for the rear cap and $60 for the front cap with ARD, an additional $80 just for the lens caps on top of the $800 you paid for the sight.Note: you have to push the rear cap on VERY hard to get it to go on all the way.On the positive side, that means it won't come off by accident! You might think your lens cap is on all the way when it's not, like I did, and then days later when I got my front lens cap and pushed hard on the rear cap to install it, in the process the rear cap went on another half inch until it was fully seated.I'm taking away one star for the difficult installation and giving it 4 stars.

Overpriced
This cover should have come with the Aimpoint ACO I purchased. For over $30 it was way too overpriced considering the cost of buying Aimpoint for $399. Ouch!

Nice and simple
It's a lens cap, what could go wrong? Well, that's a whole different discussion - but this one works fine. Slipped onto my Aimpoint M4 with no issue(OK, I didn't have it lined up right the first time... 15 seconds later it was perfect). Too bad they don't have a cheap front cap like this that works with the ARD, I ended up putting a Butler Creek cover on the front.
