18 Note Wind up Music Box Musical Movement - Plays "Silent Night"

I replaced the music box inside a nativity from the Holy Lands that was a gift but over wound by a small child years ago.

Added this music box device to a one-piece nativity/Christmas decoration! The Silent Night melody sounds wonderful.. My only regret is that the melody did not play the simple tune in entirety but cut short the melody of the first chorus. (It did advertise as only 18 notes though). Still a great product and would recommend!

I used this to replace a broken "Silent Night" music mechanism on an antique wood church I have. It's perfectly adequate. The tone was pretty good, maybe a tiny bit wonky, but for the most part, just fine. Yes, the melody is not complete, but neither was my original, antique version. Yes, it's faster than you might hear in church on Christmas eve, but, it's a tiny little plastic music box! It's perfect for completing a little project, but for $8 don't expect a symphony.

I was a little hesitant about ordering this because I read some bad reviews on other websites. However, the music box was perfect for my needs. I built a nativity set for my daughter and wanted a music box that played Silent Night. This was the perfect size to attach to the stable. Some reviews state the music plays too fast. If you wind it up real tight (not good to do), then it will play fast. Two turns of the key is all that's needed. I have a nativity set that's over 50 years old. The original music box plays Silent Night and it still works to this day. Just don't over wind it and it should last for years. So far, I'm happy with this product and the purchase.

The ordering and receipt of this product was prompt. My only observance (I dislike using the word "complaint") is that the tempo for Silent Night is much too fast. It winds down to the 'normal' song tempo at the very end.

Was as advertised fairly easy to install. Had to custom drill some holes, but all in all at work.

I wanted to get a "Silent Night" music box to put unto the back of a nativity stable I had built, and so this being the one I could find I chose it. It is ridiculous how quickly it plays the tune, no joke it is like 5-8 times the speed of the traditional melody. it is not pretty and peaceful as the song is meant to be, but sounds more like something coming from an icecream truck.If you brace the key with a finger and try to let it come out slow it does sound great, but otherwise it is annoying and hard to listen to. I took the thing apart to see if there was any way to slow it down, and I thought maybe the small port hole in the side was perhaps a method, but I cant see any way of controlling the speed and thus it is worthless to me.I don't see any reason why anyone every would or should get this item, it is juet stupid.

I loved the product, I did try to cancel my order but ended up receiving it. I will find a use for it in my crafts.
