Lasted a good 6 years of abuse
I've had my clipper since 2016 and have used it many times over on wet hair and today was the day it finally stopped working, but the failure was only the springs for the motor so I may be breathing life back into it soon. Would recommend and buy another one just to have spare parts.

Good, but not Great..
I really like the clippers and I wish I could give a max 5 star rating; however, I have experienced a few negatives along the way. I have been using the clippers consistently about twice/three times a month (active duty military so they get used a lot) for the past year and there a few things to point out.Ergonomics: The clipper feels perfect in your hand and is easy to use. The cord does get in the way especially when cutting the back of your head, but that’s a very small gripe. Overall the clippers feels fantastic in the hand and isn’t heavy.Blade: I never used the original blade and purchased the andis ceramic blade instead. I can’t speak of the quality, but be aware that the original blade is not a true 0/skin when the lever is fully closed. There is about a good 1/4 inch when fully closed with the original blade, hence why I chose the andis ceramic. The included guards are absolute trash so buy the andis guards purple. The original guards broke after the first use so invest in a nice guard set. The andis purple magnetic guards fit perfectly on the fast feeds so happy with them.Durability: This is where I have to knock Oster. The clipper cuts great, but they get clogged very easy and you constantly have to brush off the blade repeatedly. I lubricate the clipper after every use and I still find that the clipper gets clogged/jammed with hairs. I am still able to complete my haircut, but it’s just an added annoyance that I am brushing away the blade constantly.Quietness: I don’t know what a quiet clipper sounds like, but my particular fast feeds do NOT sound quiet at all. They get louder when hair gets jammed and even with a consistent oiling Schedule there is a decently overall Loud humming sound when the clipper is on. I will say that it’s quieter than the classic 76s since the motors are different, but aside from that I don’t consider them quiet by any means.Overall: I give the clipper 3.8-4/5.*One thing to note is I’m not sure if the clipper is brand new or refurbished. I hope it is, but the body of the clipper definitely did not have a new finish to it and almost looked refurbished or something. I would still buy it again, but just be mindful before considering.

Absolutely lovely!
It really does work phenomenally on thick hair. I've never had an easier shave. And it's quite sturdy! I've dropped it a couple times now and it hasn't been affected at all!

GREAT FOR KIDS
The low noise level and smooth, high quality cut make this hair clipper very ideal for our young kids (as well as myself, a grown man). Been using this happily for about a year now. This clipper came recommended by my friend who used to be a professional barber. I am SO GLAD I have this product. Those cheaper generic $20 clippers were too loud. Thankfully, they now have this clipper.I do recommend like other users to keep up with frequent use of Oster Blade Wash and Lubing Oil.

step up from economy models but noticeably better
Relevant background: I have been cutting my own hair for the last 14 years. During that time I more or less settled on Wahl brand clippers. The problem is that the Walh clippers dulled relatively quickly, got clogged with hair easily and took many passes to get it right because of the inferior attachments and the attachments popping off. But for the price of 20-30 some bucks to replace every year or so, it was ok. However I've found the newer models of wahl clippers have used cheaper and flimsier attachments. The attachments got so cheap that if you pushed too hard on your head, the attachment would distort. Well that's exactly what happened. I mean can you at least not scrimp so bad that it defeats the purpose of the product? None the less, I tracked down a set of older and better made attachments and went to business as usual. To do a perfect job took me about 30 minutes to cut my hair because you have to make many passes from where the attachments push the hair down and where in general the clippers don't get unless you brush the clogged hair out for every 6 or so inches of hair cutting. If you've done this as much as I have, you know what I mean. I had enough, I flushed enough money down the toilet on Wahl. One day I got pissed and decided to invest a few extra bucks in my next set. I researched the models out there and this one came very highly recommended in the intermediate price range. I purchased it and have used it three times since I got it. It works great, it flys through the hair no problem and it does not clog with the cut hair. I can cut my hair in about 5 minutes instead of 30. The attachments are thin without being flimsy, so you don't have to go over the same place over and over. The attachments also slide on from the top/front end of the blade and lock into place so, no matter how hard you push on your head, the attachments will never pop off. I wish I got one of these years ago. The construction is way more solid that the walh brand. It is heavier and obviously has a better motor. The blades go through everything without a problem. This is a great clipper for someone like me who only uses it about once a month. People seemed to complaint about the noise- if you are that sensitive to sound then you have issues. You are literally pressing a buzzing motor against your head...you want it to not be loud? It does get hot like people say, so I would not recommend using it without attachments for more than 15 minutes without a break. I would not use it cut my dogs hair without letting it cool completely which may take awhile. My advice....get it

READ THIS BEFORE BUYING!!
Great all round clippers. You can cut, fade and not worry about the clipper heating up. However, the Oster Fast Feed does require more maintenance due to the pivot motor. Recommend every 3 to 6 months to be cleaned and regressed. There are many small parts so be careful when cleaning not to lose or misplace any. Would also recommend Andis purple guards as they fit perfect!!Remember to always OIL your blades when cutting and after cutting in storage.....this will keep your clipper running longer, your blade sharper and be able to cut smoother.Cons / One-year warranty.

Excellent Cutting Blade
Used for the first time today with much anticipation.I was impressed. Doesn't quite cut right down to the scalp on 0 setting as well as my Wahl's, however it is very very minimal difference, but the way they cut is so much better.Feel like it is made really well. Cutting blade didn't snag, pull or struggle once and that was even with cutting 3 weeks hair growth. Glad I paid the extra for these as they cut really well.

Worth that Little bit extra.
Expensive but worth it. After years of using well known domestic clippers I have at last found quality in Oster. Cut better, quicker, and cleaner.

Feeling Fiercely for this Fast Feed!
I'm a recent hair graduate and have been slowly replacing my tools with ones of higher quality. In search of a new clipper I looked at so many articles, youtube videos and reviews. It seemed to be between the Fast Feed and the Andis Master. I went with the Fast Feed because I saw mainly positive reviews about it. One thing most people warned is the guards are not good and I wasn't sure what they meant until I received my beautiful Fast Feed. The guards are slightly flimsy but my main issue with them was how difficult it is to put them on the clipper. A lot of barbers recommended tossing out the guards and buying the Andis double magnet purple guards instead. I thought it seemed funny to be buying guards made for a different clipper but lo and behold they fit like a glove and are sturdy; way easier to put on the clipper. The Fast Feed itself is glorious! It glides through the hair like butter. I was originally working with my Wahl Taper 89 clipper that I got in my kit at hair school. There is a huge difference, no more snagging and cleaner blending. The motor is a pivot motor; slower than a rotary motor hence why it sounds more quiet. A pivot motor is more efficient for all day use, if you work at a barbershop this is a good choice. I've done quite a few cuts with them already and feel so proud of the finished result. I love my Fast Feed and you will too!
