If you have any pain or discomfort in your ears when you fly, you need these. Taking Sudafed ahead of the flight/landing helps me some but Earplanes is the only thing that works completely and reliably. Plus I prefer to avoid medicine if possible. I have been using these for years and the latest version seems to work even better, are more comfortable, and easier to get in my ears. Without these my head feels like it’s going to explode during landing. I always make sure I have a stash in case I need to take an impromptu flight.They really muffle noise so it’s annoying trying to hear others or music/tv. Because of this I end up taking them out on longer flights after we get to cruising altitude and then I keep an eye on the time so that I put them back in an hour before landing per the instructions. For flights 3 hours or less, I keep them in for the whole flight.Before you insert the Earplanes, make sure to pinch your nose and blow in case your ears need popping. This will make them work best and they will prevent painful popping during the flight.

It has been a little harder finding this style of earplug for my husband, but this is the ONLY one he likes! They stay in his ear and are pretty comfortable. They are pretty good for noise-reduction (I snore like a chainsaw). They aren’t TOTALLY sound-proof, so don’t expect that. They are good quality, and it is nice to have more than just one pair in the box. Downside: for some reason, my kitty just LOVES these things!!! He tries to dig them out of my husband’s ears so he can eat them (WHAT?!? Are these catnip coated, or what???😂😂😂). He’s been pretty successful lately, so I will be buying more fairly soon….

I've always had pretty intense pressure pain when I fly. After I ruptured my eardrum a few years ago, the pain became nearly unbearable. Once getting off the plane, my ears wouldn't repressurize for several days (which would also impact my balance). A doctor recommended these to me and now I won't fly without them.Depending on the flight (and how clear your ears are) you will still feel a bit of pressure, but they almost completely eradicate the pain. It's also fascinating when you can hear them working (sometimes you can hear the little flap flipping around inside to adjust the pressure) and then feel a whoosh as your ears adjust.I highly recommend these if you have any discomfort while flying.

I have long suffered from extreme ear pain when flying, as well as ear congestion. These were recommended to me and, while I was skeptical, decided to give them a try.I was amazed that on my very first flight, I experienced absolutely no ear pain while using them. A bit of popping, which was not annoying, and a tiny bit of pain and congestion, but totally bearable compared to the excruciating symptoms I had had previously. Couldn’t wait to share my review. I’m currently on a layover and about to fly overseas in a couple of hours, and am now not dreading the trip. Heartily recommend!!!

First flight I didn't come home with ear problems, requiring doctor visits.

I mostly use these when in a bus or in subway station where loud announcements by MBTA come on frequently. One plug usually enough to make the sound tolerable. They stay in well. Only problem is they're easy to lose.

Have struggled with intense pressure while flying. These plugs take care of the problem. It’s not a walk in the park and it comes with anxiety, but haven’t had an issue yet while using them.

My ear drum burst on a flight once. I always seemed to have ear pain on slow climbs or descents. BUT, I travel a lot so these were the perfect solution. When the pressure starts to build up, they start to click and eventually whistle (audible to ME but no one else) as they relieve the pressure. They are also mildly noise cancelling similar to regular earplugs.

Great product. I always use these when flying. Prevents the pain I used to get due to the pressure on planes.
