Best PFD knife I have found and I have a lot of them.
Just received this knife. As mentioned above whom ever designed this knife must have a lot of experience either sailing or boating.I plan to put this knife in my PFD pocket. It will always be with me on the river. What I like about this design. It is all stainless steel, hoping this makes it totally rust proof as I will have it on the water and easy to get to.The blade is just the right size. Most blades on this type of knife have the serrated blade. Which I find super sharp but not really useful for the use I put this style of knife to. IE forget all the jokes about rescue. I have been river tripping many decades. Had all sorts of so called rescue knifes and will probably include one of the serrated blades in my PFD pocket as well as this model. 99 percent of the time for me at least, my PFD knife is used to cut cheese, apples what have you at lunch time or to cut thread etc while doing on river gear repairs. Forget about all the feedback on germs on a river trip, many decades of use all over USA and Central / South America and so far no sickness from river snacks but a couple of visits of Montezuma's Revenge from food at so called Gringo Safe local restaurants. On one occasion we did use my Spyderco Serrated blade rescue knife to saw thru a wooden oar that was so jammed into a rock crevice we could not flip the raft over to continue the float. Took some time but the Spyderco got us back moving.I also have the Meyerchin fixed blade rigging knife with the attached spike. A great knife but I rarely have it with me due to the size of the package. This knife has a spike that is perfectly sized for the kinds of knots I need to work on on river trips. All in all, my opinion, this is the perfect knife to have in my PFD pocket for the many river trips I get to go on.Good on Meyerchin for the design and extra good on this Amazon Resell outfit for prompt shipping and a super good Black Friday price.

Feels really good
I like the easy movement of opening and closing the knife and marlin spike. I also like that both lock into the open position because other knives I considered didn't have that features, which seems potentially dangerous. The knife seems well made and sturdy and I like that it is made of titanium and an high quality stainless steel. I can see myself using this for a long time

A Knot Maker’s Dream
This is a small knife that is lightweight, fits well in the pocket, and accommodates a lanyard. The craftsmanship is superb with strong frame locks for the blade and marlin spike which can be opened and locked at the same time. The spike is smooth and will not catch on rope fibers while opening or setting knots. Perfect for the paracord artist, fixing fish nets, or macrame. The knife is designed to support maritime activities but landlubbers will find it a quality tool as well. For large diameter rope or big hands, it would be best to go with the larger model.

Excellent for every day carry
This is an excellent knife for anyone but especially those who work around the water. The 2.25 blade and the marlinspike both open easily with one hand and lock in place with a liner lock which is sturdy and secure but is easily disengaged to close the blade. It is sharp out of the box. It comes with a nylon belt sheath but also has a removable belt/pocket clip that is easy to use. I clip it in the pocket of my jeans. I use it for every day carry and it is mostly used for cutting up anchovies and working with light line. You won't be disappointed with this little jewel.

Disappointing
This knife is a beautiful object to look at but disappointing in it’s overall quality. The edge on my example was finished with a coarse grit wheel leaving it rough and dull out of the box. In my opinion, that is unacceptable in a knife of this price. Also, the lock on the marlin spike does not hold, allowing it to fold when splicing or working a knot out of a line and making it potentially hazardous to the user. I can't recommend this knife for any sort of serious use on a boat.

Very well engineered
The blade and marlin spike locking works great! Very easy to use in one hand. The blade is razor sharp and the lock is rock solid. Looking forward to using this as we sail around the bays and the coast (eastern Australia).Excellent pocket knife.

Broke after one day of use...
Packaging and box is misleading compared to the product inside... very low quality knife overall. I would not buy this or recommend anyone else to.

Very nice!
Perfect size knife. Not too big or small for all around use as well as on the water. The Gen 2 version I got has a very nice blade and marlin spike with individual locking tabs.
