Q: Can this be used with a dip pen for calligraphy?

Fountain pen ink is for fountain pens. Calligraphy ink has a shellac property to it which makes it thicker. You can try FP ink without harm to a dip pen, but never use calligraphy ink in a fountain pen.

Yes, all R&K inks are unsealed. The standard writing inks have no box and the document inks have a simple cardboard box. It's the R&K philosophy to put the ink in the foreground and to avoid unnecessary packaging.
