Sony Electret Condenser Stereo Microphone - ECM-DS70P

Works excellent. Picks up a wide range of audio frq's. Does not eat the recorders' battery noticeably faster than using the olympus 810 digital recorders built in mike's only. Adds alot more flexibility in placement. Worth the $5 and change. (And my specimen has a precisely formed and painted Sony on it.I tested it...sounds come in great!Looked it over...quality injection molding.I cannot find anything wrong.I attached this mic to a 5ft 3.5female to 3.5male.Mic is on top of my bedside lamo some times to record the wife and myself. (For quality control purposes...)

Bought this item because I needed to improve the efficiency of my recorder microphones. This item is great quality, great craftsmanship and most importantly, it does what it's supposed to do. I have used it on several occasions and the difference is amazing, not only it amplifies the spectrum of the audio but the sound is crystal clear. Will buy a couple of these to have for different recording situations, great product.

Works great for a knock off and being a fraction of the price

After much research as to what would work with my Kodak zi-8 and then attempting to find it in a B & M store I resorted to online search. Bingo! I found it and at a terrific price. The dealer had in my hands even faster than his estimate. The movable arm broke right after I got it so it is locked into position.The mic has excellent sound quality if you are filming and speaking directly into the camera. It falls seriously short when mounted on a tripod and filming. The voice is distant and has a strange sound. I continue to look. I need something to do my video interviews for my real estate business but found this is not the product. I am now looking for something that will produce decent sound as I interview someone from about six feet away. However, if you can get this product at a decent price I would suggest your purchase it understanding its limitations.

Pretty sure its a knock off, but it does the job just fine. I use it on my GOPRO and it makes a big difference on the audio quailty.

Low quality. Suspect it might be counterfeit - condidering sending to US Customs for investigation.

No perceivable added value to my recorder. I can tell no difference in the quality of recording using this product

I gave this accessory to my husband as an early Christmas present. He loves it. He uses it through biking to recording our daughter and it does its job! Makes the video voice quality all the more amazing!!
