I have tears in my shoulder and this brace helps. I bought the double one because my other shoulder is showing the same symptoms. The size is a little large, but it is not uncomfortable. The function of this brace works for me, and it is good quality. I highly recommend this item!

I play cello and my R arm is my bow arm. I have inoperable rotator cuff injury (Dr. offered to replace the whole joint, but that would result in reduced range of motion.)I've thrown away 4 shoulder braces, including the much more expensive Donjoy. With this brace, I can play all day and pain never gets bad..Don't think that if you have one painful shoulder, you don't need a brace for both shoulders. Pulling against my L shoulder allows the brace to pull harder on my painful R shoulder.The size guide had me order XL--it was way too big. The L was also too big, I ended up with the M. If the brace is too large, it can't exert enough pressure on the painful shoulder. If the one you receive has extra material around the shoulder, get a smaller one.

Some reviews said it was too big for them. I got one for me and for someone else...both were way too small, even though, according to size chart, should have fit. Size chart gave choices of: small OR medium OR large OR extra large (as well as the same, but with next generation version, which was supposed to be with a buckle on the arms.) The ACTUAL sizes that arrived, turned out to be combined...like small/medium OR large/extra large. Mine didn't have the buckle. Just judging by what arrived here, if you're EXTRA tiny, this might have fit you, but the ones that came here sure didn't fit as anything close to a match up to the size chart on the page.

I only gave this 3 stars because it ended up not working very well for me. I bought it to use while sleeping, since I sleep on my side the strap buckle was pressing against my face. I ended up just supporting one shoulder leaving the other side loose. Tried a couple nights, but just not comfortable enough to sleep.

Helps with my should issues when mountain biking.
