Super fast charging
These worked great. Charged both AA and AAA rechargeable batteries for solar lights. Super fast charging. Excellent value for the price since you get two chargers. Would definitely buy again.

works with good quality rechargeable batteries only
after having this charger for 3 days, tested various NiMH & NiCD AA AAA batteries, I have the following experience and am returning the product.PROS: it works with good quality batteries, can charge one battery individually and comes with AC power cordCONS: it works ONLY with good quality batteries- slow charging. I charged 8 Eneloop 2700 mAh that are 2 years old and after 10 hours, only two turned solid green (I did not continue the charge)- batteries become very hot, especially the solid green ones- the bottom of unit, especially near AC cord plug, though touchable is very hot- slow detection of inferior batteries. I have some older not-so-great batteries that would appear charging, then after 10 to 20 min. or so, they turned solid green, obviously not charged. I have another charger that if I put these batteries in, it starts flashing red immediately, indicating bad, not going to charge.- hard to get batteries in and out. while the unit is not super compact compared to others, somehow it's difficult to retrieve batteries, especially AAA. probably a small flat screwdriver could help with this.I have high hope for this charger due to its inexpensive price and great product description, however in real world experience, didn't get the bang for the bucks.*** UPDATE *** 10/15/2020I am updating the rating to 4 stars. RayHom provided good customer service on their part, gave me a replacement test unit, and I see that the one I had previously was a defective unit.I tested the replacement for 3 full days with the same set of various sizes and ages of AA and AAA batteries. Below are the results. Overall this is a great charger for the functionality and value.- batteries don't get very hot, only slightly warm with this unit- tried the same 8 Eneloop AA batteries, which had 50% charged at time of charging, took 4 hours for 4 batteries to turn solid green (fully charged). Somehow the other 4 are still red but I did not continue as I believe they will be green after another hour or two.- those not-so-good batteries would turn from red (charging) to green (not charged) with 1-2 min. this time. This is good to tell me batteries cannot be charged. good indicator.- I still reserve one star out of five for the quality issue encounter, and also for the battery retrieval situation. it's easy to put in batteries but not so easy to take them out without dropping batteries to desk or floor. a flat screw driver or a coffee stir stick should be used to get batteries peacefully. :)

Does exactly what it's supposed to do perfectly
These days most folks have dozens of remote controls and other AA and AAA powered devices in their home. Rechargeable batteries are the only way to go, and so everyone needs a battery charger. I've had several others before this RayHom but the RayHom is clearly the winner. It fits both AA and AAA batteries as claimed, but in both cases, batteries fit securely in an instant with no wiggling to get a good contact. That's because there are actually two different sets of connectors in each of the 8 slots, one for AA and one for AAA. My last charger did not and was a pain. When the battery is charging, the indicator is red. When fully charged, the indicator is green. I don't have an exact charge time, but 2400 mAh batteries turn green in a couple of hours. Best of all, if the battery itself is bad, the indicator flashes red on and off right from the start. That means it's time to toss that battery. I read some of the 1 star reviews (I always do) and all the negative comments are either user error and/or failure to recognize a bad battery, even though the charger tells you the battery is bad.I don't know what to do with the second charger, as so far I've never had to charge more than 8 batteries at once, but I guess it's nice to have a spare.Highly Recommended.JM TEPPER

Excellent value for your dollar.
I was a little skeptical when I ordered these because the reviews mentioned that the ‘charging’ and ‘ready’ lights don’t work properly.I received my item and immediately charged up 12 batteries. Four hours later, the lights were still red. So I went online and read a nugget or two and realized that when the bank is full of batteries it’s going to take longer to charge. At hour five, I revisited the charging station and voilà every light was green. So far, I consider this a win. Excellent value for your dollar.

OK but not top of the line
They get the job done but overall kind of cheaply made. LED lights seem stronger in one than the other of the two I purchased. Rather long charge time compared to other USB powered chargers.

Good deal
This is a good deal. You get pretty much 2 for the price of 1. Also, you can use either AA or AAA at the same time
