Wash your hands before handling, this piece deserves respect.
This is a fantastic acquisition! So clean and without blemish, well oiled for the travel and storage, heavy but balanced manly functional art. The sheath is also a noteworthy work of art, fine leather reinforced with layers of soft organic materials under firm thin wood. Arriving expertly sharp I unwrapped it with care. A straight and strong product of fine crafting.

Yes.
Overall; looks great, feels great, clean and smooth finish. Hopefully will be purchasing other products from seller. Will update if any changes.

Complicated...
This is before I've actually functional tested it. Will update.Pros:1) Blade - looks nice, mild sharp (7/10, cuts paper most of the time) nice spring steel (it really bends a lot). Nice distal taper and profile taper make it feel way lighter than it looks2) Crossguard - common, but it's common because ppl (including me) love it. Nice and thin, doesn't add too much weight (looks cool too.3) Scabbard - The scabbard is actually nice. Mine came with the blade getting stuck about 3 inches short (it was getting stuck at the top, so I could fix it wasy. Grabbed a small wood file and swiped it on the inside of the scabbard on each side maybe 3 times and it was down to 1/2". It then just eased in after taking in ane out a few times. Still snug, but not stuck. Yes the scabbard is a burgundy and the handle wrap is clearly brown (I knew that from the pics).4. Comfortable in the hand and able to wield easily (with 2 hands for me). Correct shaped handle for indexing, Feels much lighter than you think (and I'm a small guy).Questions :1. Pommel - I've used and owned a bunch of similar pommels and 70% fail2. Wrap - like the color and material, my issue is the way it's wrapped (see pics, it sticks out). Haven't handled it enough to say if it gets in the way, but I suspect it might come lose.Cons:None YetI'm WAY pickier than your average sword buyer. For $200, just to have a sword to swing around and cut a few bottles once in awhile and be a wall hanger it would be a 9/10. Recommend for the above ppl for sure.Functional statements can't be made, except it cuts paper almost all the time. Anything else I'll add later.

Very Durable, edge not that sharp, tip crazy sharp
I hit the sword on a tree at nearly full power multiple times. The blade appears unaffected. It is not able to slice through water bottles as shown at least not a Life water bottle. However, the tip is insanely sharp, very dangerous.

Best one I've found so far, don't know how it would hold up to hard materials.
Incredible for the price! It came sharp, can cut pumpkins and melons without any difficulty. I won't be using it for harder materials right now so I can't say if it holds up to standard use, but for a simple, functional design without any noticeable issues, I haven't found a better one yet!

Exactly what I needed
This sword is perfect for its intended purpose--part of a medieval cosplay with live steel--and may in fact be perfect for actual swordplay. It is light, flexible, impeccably balanced, and easily as sharp as a freshly honed chef's knife. Oily, obviously, like any other new blade, but wrapped in plastic to protect against dings and rust. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REMOVE THE WRAP FROM THE BLADE BAREHANDED. It's hard to feel the edge through the plastic but I imagine a few more pounds of pressure would've laid open the wrap and my palm like a carved ham.My only complaint is a minor one that's easily rectified: the leather scabbard is a good deal closer to maroonish-purple than the brown pictured in the images but a little leather dye will take care of that. The blade's flexibility may be somewhat ahistorical since longswords were typically stiff for the purpose of penetrating armor, but that's hardly a thing to complain about in the year of our Lord 2024.
