Bought a as gift but the bottle came with something spilled on the outside label and on the bottom. Perhaps another bottle next to it broke, but didn’t look nice to give as a gift. Ended up giving it to my son to try out. He will try with friends and will update the review when feedback is received from them.UPDATED Final review : excellent taste! Great Old Fashioned mixer that can be adjusted to individual tastes. Easy to use and makes hosting much easier. One bottle made enough to serve a group of10 guests thru the night. Will buy again and see if other mixtures are available for purchase as well.IMPORTANT Side note: the Customer Service from this small business contacted me about the my review re the dirty label -like dried syrup on it. Right up front they just offered a full refund or replacement - my pick - and explained they’re working on packaging thru Amazon. They also threw in a $5 “inconvenience fee”. Plus I already received a 20% discount from my initial purchase. No questions asked. Just real honest and genuine customer care and customer service, both are excellent!! A very rare occurrence for customers nowadays where it’s always a return item in original packaging or item does not qualify for $$ refund only gift card.Such a pleasant surprise. This is by far the best product I've found that allows me to make the absolute best tasting old fashioned drink with minimal fuss or effort, just a quarter ounce of this stirred into 2 ounces of my favorite bourbon with the red wax seal and poured over a chunky 2" ice cube and mmmm, it's delicious. No fussing around muddling different ingredients or adding garnishes, just pour, stir and enjoy. I've tried other similar products and this one is hands down my favorite. It's priced very reasonably considering you get 32 servings out of the bottle, but you do have to be careful when pouring it out as it is a fairly thick syrup that you can overshoot if not careful. I will be reordering this over and over.

Opening the bottle took 1/2 hour using every tool I could find. Eventually the glass spout just broke. The flavor itself is enjoyable, though very sweet. The directions are to use 1/4 oz with 2 oz liquor. How much is 1/4 oz? Equals 1/2 tablespoon. Whoa! Way too much for my taste—more like 1/4-1/2 teaspoon. At that rate, even with the loss from the broken bottle, this will last a very long time. Don’t expect to order again.

This old fashioned mix is quite good, and the best of several I've tried. It's concentrated, so you only need a small amount for 2oz of spirit. keep in mind that it needs to be refrigerated after opening.

I am an aspiring mixologist who believes your mix can make all the difference between “ok” and “superb”.Bartenders Secret Sauce is far and away the BEST old fashion mixer on the market. (not only in my opinion, but that of everyone who’s tried it). If there were a 6-star rating, I would give it all 6!!! I also think it will make a novel gift, next time I’m invited by friends for dinner, instead of the bringing a bottle of wine sitting on the bottom of my wine cooler that I want to get rid of.
