Excellent Product
I had three awning windows made from pine which suffered dry rot and water damage. Pella wanted $750 each to replace! Cheapest with vinyl was $350 each and had to paint myself. This product allowed me to rebuild the window, paint and looks like new! Take even amounts from each, mix and roll in had until color of silly putty and your ready to be creative. Easy to work with, lots of play time so no rush. Large area will require a build up but it works great!

This is an excellent product for restoring wood that has rotted.
This is an excellent product for restoring wood that has rotted. Once applied and sanded, it can be machined, drilled, and fasteners attached easily. Couple of suggestions for use: 1) Mix small batches kneading the 2 parts with your hands like dough, and 2) wear nitrile gloves. I found that smooth gloves (vs. textured) work better to avoid the material sticking to your gloved hands. This material is a little hard to spread into your work because it likes to stick to your tools. For best results, I applied the material to the work with my hand pressing it into place and then smoothed it out as best as possible with a flexible putty knife. To finish I used a 40 grit disc grinder to remove most of the material followed by 60 - 220 grit progression with my palm sander to achieve desired final smoothness prior to finishing.

good product for the price
Its a little hard to need together, It might B because I have arthritis in them. The brown was kind of crumbly. but its cheaper than the stuff from Washington State. Its spreads like dried frosting, so its not real smooth, hopefully I'm mixing it right. My plan is to fill most of it with this RTG. then finish it out with the expensive stuff. I have a hell of a Fd up project on my hands, I'm disabled and don't feel good to boot, and wished this had never happened. All I can say is order double what you think U R going to need. This seams to be a real good product, and the guys from up north said as long as its an epoxy putty its just as good as their stuff, which I really appreciated their honesty since their stuff is extremely expensive and they charge for shipping. This just my opinion so please don't come down on me like a ton of bricks, I have already had a reckless driver hit me head on, I don't need any more pain. Thanks Carl

Defective product
First of all I've worked with different products just like this. This was almost hard in each bucket and didn't want to mix together and it was dry and clumpy. It didn't want to stick to anything or even to its self. Couldn't smooth it out and was not malleable. I don't know if it was really old or what but I need something that will work properly. I'm afraid that what I put in will just fall out the cracks I put it in.I tried to use it all so there is nothing to return.

You should use RTG Wood Hardener after removing bad wood prior to using filler.
Product bonded firmly to wood, feathered nice when sanded when dry looks to make excellent repairSomewhat hard to work with, mixes on the dry and crumbly side, difficult to work with when trying to mold in place, but a little patience you get an excellent repair.

Excellent for non-structural wood damage or rot.
Dries harder than the wood. Left a patch high, thought it would be easy to just sand off, no way needed a good file to get it down. Hard as a rock and bit into wood well.

Works
Stuff is very expensive but does what it's supposed to do. Fills even very large voids, dries fairly quickly and is easily sandable. My only complaints are that it's very expensive and it's difficult to spread as it sticks to everything. Even tried mineral oil on my putty knife, still sticks and drags as you try to spread it out. Best thing to do is to over fill the void then sand it back down to get a smooth surface.
