Perfect planter for modern landscapes
We just finished an installation of Nice Planters in the backyard of our modern home in Seattle and couldn't be happier. We installed a variety of the cortex steel planters including the rectangle planters, bench planters, a small square planter and this one. The result is clean and modern and the patina is already well along, with the wet Seattle weather. This square planter doesn't have a bottom, but the larger rectangle ones do.The pros of these Nice Planter boxes are:- they were a fraction of the price of a custom installation- the variety of sizes worked well together- we can move them or take them with us when we move- they are easy to maintainThe cons are:- according to our designer the metal is thinner than they are used to. However this could just be chatter and may not be true.- the square Nice Planter box does not come with a tray option on the top- they do need to be put together, though we found it to be easy and fun, and just took maybe 20 minutes a box

The planter doesn't come close to looking as the picture. Maybe with aging, but will definitely take unexpected time. If it does weather and changes appearance. As others noted , assembly is a tedious process with partially aligned holes and tiny nuts and screws. Also, the planter doesn't have bottom cloth or liner to hold soil. Must find one or purchase yourself.

Handsome raised planter for entryway
I bought this for a raised bed in my entryway. It was fairly easy to put together, but the space was sometimes tricky unless you have small fingers. Left it out for several weeks to get it weathered. It only got rusty in a few spots—I hope it will get more rusty with time.

Great product - highly recommended
Great product, easy to assemble. Looks very custom with no visible hardware (all on the inside). I would highly recommend this product.

Of course dirty hands due to the metal
Was a pain in the neck to assamble. Tiny screws and nuts. Of course dirty hands due to the metal.

So nice looking and easy to assemble.
I love the patina on Corten steel, so I bought two of these for veggies. They come unrusted, but age quickly. I liked them so much I just added two more. They were easy to assemble and we put the cardboard boxes they came in right on the bottom to act as weed block and take up some room so we didn't need so much soil. Each planter does need about 7-8 bags of soil. I have had wood planters in the past and I feel like these will last longer.
