It will suck you in from the first chapter with its intriguing characters, romance, awesome and strong female and most of all the hilarious comments from them all.Team work at its best.Jessie and Austins story just brings a flutter to my heart, loved it from start to finish. Can't wait to see what happens next with the story, great open ending to book 5.Seriously if you haven't read this series, what are you waiting for.

I do love this series of books!
I don't often write reviews, but for this series I'll make an exception. I've binge read this series and as soon as the last book came out I started reading.I do enjoy that the protagonist is a mature woman and that her love interest is mature too.Often in these sorts of stories Men can come across as a bit insecure, brutish and borderline abusive. Not the case here, at all.I enjoy the nuance of how the main characters respond to one another, weighing up their past experiences with their desires to move forward - I find this both enjoyable and refreshing.Mind you, also helps that sex scenes it's piping hot, I can not lie!I do very much look forward to the next instalment of this series

great book
Really enjoyed this book, nice twist towards the end. The only thing that seemed to spoil it for me was the sexual encounters were too drawn out.

I love this series
It is an original series with interesting characters and back stories. The plot is unique with clever twists and unpredictable turns. The intimate moments aren't gratuitous and having a protagonist who is older and has lived experience is so refreshing. As a Kindle Unltd user, I tend to choose series. This one truly stands out in my mind. It doesn't merge into all the others I read and I get excited when the next installment gets released. I make the time to read it as quickly as possible and slow down because I don't want it to end.I'm invested and I'm thankful for a truly enjoyable series.

Loved this series - longing for the next book
Loved the threat and violence that lurked in the book, combined with the weird and wonderful humour - at times I laughed out loud. I also loved the fact that the heroine was a ‘midlife’ lady who accepted who she was, so refreshing. Wasn’t so keen on the sex scenes, but that’s me, I know the books needed it as it was part of the story, it is just not something I enjoy in a book. However that didn’t put me off, everything else was great. Such a wonderful unhinged group of characters that really worked in the story.

Fantastic
Another fantastic edition to this series, Jessie,Austin and the gang are back in this thrilling adventure, the final battle has arrived for Jessie and her team, Elliott has been a thorn in her side for too long, despite been full of anxiety and nerves she faces head on,if that's not enough for her to deal with her & Austin are deep in the mating slide, distracting her from everything else, but fear not she has her team & some new members backing her all the way, there are so many surprises and revelations been revealed that will have you on the edge of your seat, there's humour, action, love and friendship and heart, can't wait to see what happens next

I love the characters SO much, lots of laughs, feels, and some nice spice
I am up to date with the story, and really enjoyed everything I read. I dont rehash what I read (not a book report here), but just my overall impression. Fun thing about reading, what we choose and enjoy is highly subjective. Something you love, I may fine stupid. Something I love you may not be able to handle. Whatever. Give something a try and move on.The Levelling Up series was not something I expected to like. I had learned of this book on a random FB sponsored ad. I dont recall what drew me to it, but let me tell you none of this is my typical genre to read from. I think it was the appeal of reading of a character in her 40s. I'm in my 40s. Nice to see the main star to be someone outside the typical 20 something. Figured I'd give it a go, and if I didnt like it I have the option to stop, yes?The first chapter was meh. Though, I tend to be a little snarfy when I first begin a new book. Takes a little to get into it. But then once it started rolling, I was so very much hooked. I think once I realized that the writer can write, can flesh out detail, can give life to not only main characters, but give a lot to side characters, and I can imagine the surroundings so well yet am not spoon fed all everything. I was impressed, and hoked. I cant get enough, I could read from this world forever more. Love the characters, all the fun quirky details, and the lovely boost to my imagination. If you aren't reading KF Breene, you should. Very funny, lots of wonderful side characters, and the main story has some meat. But I could read all about the Levelling Up world without any story line. I just LOVE hanging out with all the characters. Funny stuff, hot stuff, some feels. Not overlly dramatic. And not at all scary despite some freaky stuff going on.And yes, there are ridiculously hot guys in this, with cringey names (I suspect it is an intentional nod toward the lame romantic tripe of so called romance books). Stop clutching your pearls long enough to just enjoy this. It's a slow burn, and please feel free to enjoy it. OR dont pick up a fantasy (on many levels) book.If the details in this book freak you out, then you wont be able to handle the intense spice of some of her other work. Ruin of Roses, comes to mind. That is another incredible story with loads of detail, awesome side characters, but the heat is turned way way way up. Wowza. Well done.. mm hhmmm

Team coming together
This was a good book with an interesting storyline that I did enjoy, but two things threw me off from really liking it: the amount of sexytimes and the number of men on the team. For the first one, some of the steam was important as a plot line. It made sense. I felt it went a bit overboard, though, for my taste and got a bit tiresome. For the second issue, when this series started, we had the three characters that came with the house, plus Jessie and Austin, so we were at 3 men to 2 women. But the team is just becoming more and more male. It kinda makes sense for the gargoyles, with Jessie being one of almost no female gargoyles. But to have only two other women out of twelve on the team seems a bit ridiculous. Why can't she have more women? But the story was generally fun. I enjoyed the character of Sebastian and his games.

Magical Midlife Meeting...

Just gets better and better
I am so addicted to this series. I love all the characters and each book is such a smooth read.KF Breene certainly doesn’t disappoint readers with the 5th book of the Leveling Up series. I just can’t get enough. I loved the twists and turns and how the Ivy house interacts with Jessie. And we finally saw the epic battle between Jessie (and the Ivy house crew) and Elliot Graves!! Which was awesome. This book was also soooo funny! I found myself laughing out loud like a crazy person multiple times! Can’t wait for the next book in the series!
