Works well for about 8lbs and up
I was never great at the newborn hold but once my son hit 8 lbs this potty was perfect because he wouldn't fall in so deep. He's so happy leaned back against my tummy while he does his business. The raised front is super helpful for catching pee. I like the handle. The only thing is the bottom is very narrow, making it too easy to tip when you set it down.

This little potty is fantastic!
The shape and size of this potty is just perfect to keep a little baby bottom in place and it's easy to use. I started using this for my 2 month old and it's so convenient even for first time ECers. The traction stickers for the sides don't hold on very well and fell off after a couple days even though I followed the instructions, but I just reattached mine with a little rubber cement. Problem solved.I highly recommend making up a little "toilet caddy" to carry this and other potty necessities in to keep it from spilling (especially if you have other kids like I do who could accidentally knock it over otherwise) and to make it very convenient to reach what you need once you're baby trapped and using your knees to hold it in place, but the base of the potty does stand it up pretty well on its own as is. All in all a very good purchase, and in my opinion a more logical and functional shape than a tophat design.

good potty for baby boys
I use this potty with my son. I think it works better for him than the top hat potty because it's raised in the front. The cushion around the rim made the potty cozy and not cold. It's comfortable and easy to clean. My only complaint is that I would like the potty to have a larger bottom so that it's easier to set down without worrying that it might tip over if it's not completely flat.

Better bargain than the top hat
All the elimination communication influencers typically recommend the baby Bjorn or the top hat party for infants that can't sit on a standard potty. They are both ridiculously overpriced! I think this is way better than the top hat, I have not tried the baby Bjorn because of the price. But I absolutely love this body. The only complaint is that it comes with a totally useless cozy which rips extremely easily and is not needed. Just let your baby get used to the cold plastic, it's just like a real toilet is cold to the touch.

Not perfect but best in the market
++ cozy is much more cushy and supportive than the TinyUndies one++ I don't know how I would catch pee without the higher front (I guess I would have to smush my baby girl's thighs together? but I like to see between her thighs if she's peed or not)+ Handle is helpful for extra grip+ the curvy shape I think is more comfortable for baby- however, the edge without the cozy (eg if it's in the laundry) seems like it could scratch baby's legs so cozy is a requirement for me~ fish shape doesn’t add anything to the functionality?- - like others have mentioned the bottom is small and therefore tipping is a real threat for meNote: I have my baby pee on the changing table (not between my thighs) so I put the rubber strips on the bottom to prevent skidding and toppling the potty when seating and unseating baby
