Excellent tea
We do not do tea bags. I am very particular about my tea and this on meets our family taste. We use this exclusively when I am in Seattle.

The tea is very flavorful, satisfying, and balanced
Unusual granular texture to the tea, but ensuring it’s steeped long enough brings out the nice flavor and strength. Pragmatic, effective packaging, perfectly acceptable, I think overrides having fancier packaging (a tin) which would raise expenses.

Baked sweet potato bliss😋😋😋
The dry grains of this Organic CTC Assam are, predictably, not much to look at. They carry a mild basic malty aroma. When steeping, the aroma explodes into delicious baked sweet potato with a hint of light brown sugar! The liquor is a nice deep mahogany red. With a touch of cream, it looks almost like a light roast coffee and creates a smooth Werther's caramel aroma to go along with everything else. With raw sugar added the flavor goes in sync the aroma and this cup of tea goes off the charts for me. With or without adding spices it also makes incredibly delicious milk tea. It's never bitter and has enough caffeine for me to substitute my morning cup of joe. It's a good price too for bulk Organic Assam.Make it strong and sweet! Use two rounded teaspoons in 12 ounces of extremely hot water or 50/50 milk and water and (carefully) gently agitate it with a spoon for 4-5 minutes. Sweeten to taste. Try it with cream and a baby dash of cinnamon.I've gone ahead and stocked up for the year on this tea.

Stronger than I'm used to, but OK
Don't remember this black tea being this overpowering, maybe it's just fresher. But no problem, can use a little less, and/or combine it with many of my other Vadam teas. I am partial to Vadam teas--usually delicious, great company policies, beautiful packaging -- especally for gifts.

Finally found my perfect organic assam
I've been drinking Twinings Bold & Mighty Assam and I love the flavor, but wanted a loose leaf and preferably organic. I tried 4 other loose leaf assams and finally this 5th attempt did the trick for me... my perfect cup of tea! It brews a little more quickly than I'm used to so if I forget about it and let it go over 4 mins it gets too strong for me, 3-4 mins seems perfect. It is indeed very strong and must have a high caffeine count because I do feel a bit nauseous from the caffeine if I have it on an empty stomach, but it does great for my wakeup ritual in the morning as well as an afternoon pick me up.

Bold but lovely
Makes a nice strong cup of tea, and is great for anyone switching off of coffee as I did.

My Search for a Strong English Breakfast Tea is Over
I now live in the US, but lived in the UK most of my life. One stereotype that is true of us Brits is that we love a good cuppa tea. Since I moved to the US I have been searching for years for a strong English breakfast tea, and I think I have finally found it. I have tried all the usual tea bag companies (Typhoo, PG Tips, etc.) and it seems to me that their teas have gotten weaker over the years.I have been a happy customer of Vahdam for a while now as I love some of their other teas such as their Saffron Chai Masala and their Blooming Rose black tea, but I have tried many of their other black teas and never found one that had the taste profile and strength that I was looking for. I kinda gave up on finding a decent "off the shelf" strong English Breakfast tea and started mixing their teas to try and make my own perfect blend so I bought this as a "mixer". I always try any new teas I buy on their own so I can familiarise myself with their taste profile before mixing them with other teas. I still love mixing teas, but this has now become my main squeeze :-)
