Worth buying
Ive had this battery for some time now. Works fine. No issues with charging, fits perfectly in the camera and functions as it should.

Came quickly, works well and very useful to have a spare. If you're out all day taking photos or on holiday with little access to charge your battery you will kick yourself for not getting a spare and this comes with a protective cap making it easy to carry around in your bag. Also a necessity for doing long timelapses.

You're paying a premium for the security of using your camera's own brand batteries
With the Canon brand you know you're not going to face any complications you might face through a 3rd Party battery, in essence you're paying a premium for the security of that knowledge. Whether this is worthwhile or a reality is up for debate. I prefer the security as the web is full of horror stories.The battery doesn't take long to charge, is a 1st party product so the fitting is flawless and after consistent usage there is no degradation in the battery holding its charge. Will order a spare as the only issue with these batteries is by design their low capacity so you need spares for long shoots

Worth it in the long run.
Had a swelling problem with another non brand battery on a compact camera. I have several Canon cameras and found the Canon brand perform well.
