Great product annoying app
When I first got the product it kept turning off, but I googled it and found out I did t set it up properly. Once I got it properly set up the product has worked great. My pool has stayed crystal clear while my friends pools keep turning green and they have to shock it.Keeping the pool chemicals balanced is supper easy. When it’s time to add chemicals the app alerts me and I let it know when I have completed the treatment, that’s it. Pool is clean and clear all the time. I haven’t ever had a problem with too much chemicals in the pool either. I just do what Miss Eco, that’s what we call her, tells me and I enjoy my pool the rest of the time.I have had Thai product for two months now. I love the way it monitors and notifies me when I need to add chemicals but this app is annoying! It constantly wants me to buy product. Tells me it added stuff to my cart and I can check out now. I have found no way to turn off the annoying notices without turning off the necessary notifications. Buyer beware

Great idea, poor execution, company not willing to back their warranty.
Great concept, poor execution and quality, unwilling to back their 2 year warranty. I bought this product with high hopes of simplifying the chemical maintenance on our hot tub. The app is a bit glitchy, especially if you have to reset it or get a new phone. It tells you what to add (constantly adding PH up, PH down, chorine, etc...) which is nice if you are new to hot tubs. The product failed after a while and after some back and forth troubleshooting painfully slow via email, the sent me a replacement device. The device failed again, this time not even connecting or functioning at all. They said it would be covered under the 2 year warranty. A few days later they said they would give me a coupon to buy the newer version for 50% off. I reminded them of the warranty and their promise to replace it. They said it was now outside of the 2 years (clearly not, which I again pointed out) and they sent me a link to a policy on their website. I told them I would give them a bad review if they didn't make it right. Oh well. That is how they choose to run their company.Maybe their next generation product is better, but with a company unwilling to back their stated warranty, I am not sure you should risk it for the price of these products. We have found that a good chlorine float (keep it full) and checking the PH periodically for PH up/down we are fine without the constant notices to buy more product and stress about being slightly off. Our water has actually lasted longer and stayed clearer without all the chemical adjustments.Buyer beware!

Well worth the money!
First year pool owner here and this thing makes maintaining my pool a breeze. My mom gave us her 8’x16’ above ground pool a few years ago. We never set it up but I did join the above ground pool owner’s group on Facebook, just to see what I was getting into. That really made me nervous about maintaining a pool. It seemed like most issues were due to lack of chlorine or PH being off. I didn’t really want to be testing the water daily. I thought surely there is an easier way. Well here it is the iopool eco. I love this thing, I can monitor my chlorine, ph levels, and temperature then make any adjustment on the fly. Don’t get me wrong you still have to use test strips and enter them into the app occasionally, this is done to help keep the sensor calibrated. And I take my water to the pool store monthly or so for a more in depth analysis ( and to double check). All in all it’s a tool to help maintain the pool water quality, it does not eliminate testing. One down side is the pool materials inventory in the app. This is a cool idea but, they only allow you to use it to track iopool supplies (booo). I hate this but it’s whatever. I still love it. If you are reading this you must be on the fence, just buy it already! You won’t be disappointed. I also referred it to my brother. Super simple to set up.

Worked intermittently, then fully broken after 2 months
11/1/23 Update: Iopool sent me a new sensor, which is working well. Great customer service. I hope this new one holds up better than the previous sensor!----The sensor was good while it worked. However, it only connected sporadically for the first two months, then fully stopped working after 2 months of purchase. I was led to believe this sensor's batteries lasted 1-2 years, so I'm very disappointed to have it break after 2 months.

Very solid info for most users!
Let me start this review by saying that I have tried the Sutro water monitor and ended up returning it. The readings on the iopool device have been consistent and accurate from what I can tell when using Taylor reagents to test myself side by side. I do with that it could test actual free chlorine and total chlorine rather than "disinfection potential" but that test does give a good indication of when the chlorine needs attention. I do not use their brand of chemicals but rather I use it as a remote monitor of when I need to test myself with liquid reagents and add chemicals. I am using mine in a hot tub and I liked it enough to buy one for a family member's pool which I also maintain. Setup was a breeze and I find the information useful. This device tests PH and has been very accurate on that with readings every 15 mins. I have only had the device just over a month so I cannot speak to ease of winterizing it or if it stays as accurate long term. Their support team is very responsive and helpful. I would recommend this for anyone looking to keep a closer tab on their water without manually testing all the time.

Helpful until it stops working.
Relied on this for about 10 months. It was super handy, keeping my swim spa monitored and prompting me when chemicals were out of balance. It worked so well that I suggested it to a friend and he got one too. And then it broke. The pH showed is was climbing, so I kept adding pH down. Not seeing a downward change, I switched to using test strips. They showed a low pH, and using strips I brought the spa back to safe levels. Meanwhile I reached out to support. They assured me it simply needed a calibration and sent me a kit. I calibrated it, put it back in, and it read that my pH was 2.7. test strips measured 7.2. I haven't thrown out the cal kit, so I tried to calibrate again, but it always says it needs more time. If $300 for 10 months of it working is reasonable to you, then consider this product. Otherwise look elsewhere.
