I love these shears. I bought them because I started making spatchcock chicken and needed some shears that would easily cut through the bone, and these work perfectly!

I used these to spatchcock my turkey. (cut out the backbone and butterfly). I've use scissors in prior years with great difficulty. This year my wife bought a 22 pound bird. I never could have done it without these shears. If it was an 8-16 pound bird, I'm pretty sure they would have cut the bones like butter. With a 22 pounder, I had to wrestle with them a bit and squeeze and squeeze... but they stood up to the task and the Turkey came out with a crisp golden skin and moist leg and breast meat. (and in only 90 minutes at 450...I kid you not!) Buy these shears and "spatchcock" your bird.

If you are spatchcocking a turkey, you will need a very strong pair of scissors. These are sharp enough and powerful enough to make it a fairly simple job. I used them on a 17 pound turkey and they worked great. This is a great way to cook a turkey and I’ll be doing it a lot more in the future.
