Philips Sonicare HX5351/46 Essence 5300 Sonic Toothbrush - 75020803009

I have used this model toothbrush for over 20 years. Unfortunately, the original finally gave out. I ordered a newer version, but was very displeased with performance. Great for me, I found this one..the same one I have used for all this time. Now I'm happy again!! Great product!

Both my wife and I have been using the Philips Sonicare HX5351/46 Essence 5300 toothbrush for the last five years. The purchase that I'm reviewing is a replacement to the same model toothbrush that stopped working after 5 years. Any comments on durability are based on my previous ownership experience with the same model. Since the replacement heads come in a 2-pack, I stayed with the older model Sonicare toothbrush to simplify our purchase of the replacement heads.Pros:1. This style toothbrush really gets your teeth clean and massages your gums. On my first dental check up after purchasing my Sonicare toothbrush, my dentist immediately asked if I had changed to a Sonicare toothbrush. He could tell the difference!2. This toothbrush feels good when I use it. (although if you have a particularly ticklish mouth, maybe not)Cons:1. Somewhat expensive when compared to a non-vibrating, battery-free toothbrush. The 2-pack of replacement heads is currently listed at $25.2. The battery gradually stopped recharging in its fifth year of service. A product like this should last longer.I would recommend this toothbrush.

Was purchased as a gift and had high hopes for it.But the batteries seem to be dead or bad internally in this product.After being used for a 30seconds to a minute it will turn off by it self as if the batties died. Another button push and its back on but this is very frustrating.Plastic package came cracked and broken like it was crushed as well. Not sure I'd buy from this buyer again.

There are a lot of electronic toothbrushes on the market and they can be quite expensive. After a visit to the dentist, I was instructed to get an electronic toothbrush, but didn't have $100+ to spend on one. My dentist (and I expect most dentists) recommends Phillips and Oral B. So after reviewing A LOT of toothbrushes, I settled on this one.I've been using this toothbrush for five months now and have no complaints. It works well, is made by one of the most trusted companies, and is a good price. It comes with a travel case too (which I've never used). If you don't have the money for a ridiculously expensive version, I highly recommend this one.

the item works well. However, the wrong model was sent to me. I had called Philips to get a new handle as my old one has seen it's days. I told them I had purchased 2 new brushes some weeks before so I asked to buy a model that would fit my brushes I was told Essence HX5351. What came to me was HX5310 and the brush DOES NOT FIT!!! i CALLED retailer who only offered to have me send it back with refund(no excuse given) or for Amazon to send me $10.00! I chose the ten dollars as I need my toothbrush and didnt want the hassle of mailing back and forth. I was also told by Customer Svc. at retailer that "radio shack" is there deliverer and not Philips....AMAZING!!!! So I am out some $24.00, new brushes bought and wrong item rcvd! The box said correct model # but inside " OPENED BOX, was wrong model, HX5310. I should have been offered the cost of brushes I can't use, as I asked, not $10 thru Amazon. What do you think?
