The best I've ever used. Soothes immediately, then disappears.A tiny bit spreads over my whole face.The sandalwood is a great scent, the lime is every bit as good. A sturdy scent when applied, then fades so as to not bowl over others.Yes, more expensive, but not in the long run, since a tiny bit works wonders. And the feel of having bought top quality.

Wow... This stuff is really amazing. You really do only need three or four drops. It's coverage is quite surprising! It spreads out all over my face with generous ease. The smell is exactly the same as Geo. F Trumper's sandalwood shaving soap, and I highly recommend using them together. The scent is not overpowering. I'm also a Taylor of Old Bond Street fan, but I can't use their sandalwood shaving soap. It's WAY too strong for my nose. Trumper's sandalwood scent is really pleasant and not overpowering at all. It lasts well into the afternoon, and I find myself enjoying the scent throughout the day. It also eliminates any dryness cased by shaving. It leaves my skin pleasantly smooth with a very mild hydrated shine. It's not greasy.But it is pricey. Keep in mind though that only having to use a few drops with each shave, this bottle will last you a long, long time!

Great aftershave product, pleasant aroma, not overbearing. Trumper manufactures a wonderful product and always has.

I have been using trumpers shaved products for years. They've never disappointed. Always worth the money.

I had ordered a Geo. F Trumper sampler, because I wanted to check out some of their colognes and shaving creams. In there, they included three samples of their skin food; the sandlewood, lime, and coral. I didn't use them until recently when I started to grow a beard. I had looked online for ways to prevent the skin from becoming ichy and irritated and one blogger suggested using the skin food. Once I tried it, after shaving my neck and my face above my beard, I was hooked.It does go on kind of oily, but dries quickly. You do not need to use a lot of it, and it makes your skin feel good. Another reviewer talked about it being drier than the Coral - I tried all three samples, and they were all the same to me, except for the scent. Unless she is talking about a different brand, I did not notice a difference. The scent is subtle and will not clash with cologne or overpower the people around you. I have been told that most people cannot smell it unless then are right up against my face, so it seems to soften really quickly.I have used many different types of lotions and creams to deal with irritated skin from razor burn, but this really does seem to make a difference. Once I go back to full shaving again, I will keep using this product. This one is the largest bottle and will probably last a couple years if you use it right. Like I said before, about the size of a dime is all you need.

A little pricey, yes..... But when you see just how little you need to cover your mug, it'll last twice, to three times as long as other lotions. Feels great after using the alum block, non-greasy, with a not-to-powerful ave scent (and I'm a big time cologne guy). I find myself, more mornings than not (even though I shave art night) splashing on a little Lucky Tiger (to waken up a bit) and a follow with a thin coat of Skin Food, a spritz of Armani Code Ultimate, Spicebomb, or Yves Saint Laurent por homme Parfum, and I feel and smell like a million bucks. Quickly absorbs (you'll find you'll pour too much in the beginning - because a little goes a long way), so you don't feel greasy, but like you have put on a shield of sorts. Worth every penny in my book......and won't hesitate to buy again (when this bottle ever runs out - for sure will make it to Father's Day). Went out on a limb based on Shave Nation's Owner, and glad I did.

I bought this thinking that since it's sold as a lotion, I could use it as a lotion. Well, if you do, you'll end up sending your scent out about 5 times further than is politely allowable. The scent is great, but its strong enough that you can really only use a little dab of this or you'll fill the air with your scent. Scents are meant to entice someone to get closer to you, not to drive them away. I use a little bit of this and mix it with an unscented lotion after I shave. That keeps the scent from being overwhelming.

Great product. Very moisturizing yet not greasy. Very good slickness when used as a pre shave
