Two broken
Unfortunately I couldn’t recommend this item. We had one bought as a gift that broke within minutes. I thought I had broken it so bought a replacement and this also broke within minutes. Have contacted the company and so far no response… it was cool for the minute that it worked!

Missing part from robot unit
Didn’t even get a chance to try as the motor unit is not complete and missing a piece which connects the ‘feet’ portion. Very poor manufacturing and quality control.

Very fun, interactive, and easy to assemble!
My kid is obsessed with these robots, he loves building them and swapping out parts to make them do different actions. They are very easy to assemble, good quality construction, and come with fancy stickers to decorate your robot with all the colorful bells and whistles. These are a great gift, and very affordable. Love them! We’ve collected them all!

Halfpipe seems to be the defective rebot
Have bought two "halfpipes". One from a toy store and one from amazon, both worked for a minute then the motor went haywire and it wouldn't flip over anymore. Too bad, these are a cute robot series, we have the rest of them and they are neat.

Grandkids love them
Grandkids love them, ages 4, 6 & 7. The 7 yr old was able to put his together himself quickly & enjoyed doing it. They all loved playing with them afterwards. Out of all the gifts they got these Robotz are what they played with most, and for the longest time. Make sure you have batteries cause they wanted to put them together and play with them right away.

Ability to upright itself is impressive
This review is for the Thames & Kosmos ReBotz: Halfpipe. This is actually more fun than I expected. It is a good learning exercise to work with a younger family in building an actual working robot from a handful of parts, and then actually see it work. It does require 3-AAA batteries, which are NOT included, so plan accordingly. The arms can be positioned independently in different locations to change the motion/action, and the poles also positioned at different lengths in the robot hands to cause and different force of motion in propelling the robot. It was fun to experiment with different combinations to see the result, and a great learning exercise. The poles are a little difficult to snap in/out of the robot hands because they do need to stay firmly in place to handle the force of the swinging action against the floor. We found that the adults or older kids for sure had to help the younger ones with the adjustments for the Halfpipe robot. One thing that was really impressive about the design of “Halfpipe” was it’s ability to self-right upright. It didn’t matter if it ran into something and flipped, got knocked over sideways, etc, it was able to self-right every single time and continue “skating” around on the skateboard.Fun, teaches a bit of robotics, and a cute learning toy.
