mophie Wireless Charging Car Vent Mount for mophie cases with Charge Force wireless power – Black

I have a Mophie Juice Pack Air case for my iPhone 7. It lets me wirelessly charge my phone (along w/providing backup battery). I ordered this vent mount charger for my car & I love it! It was less than $18 (including free 2 day shipping w/Prime) & not only does it work really well, but, it took less than 2 minutes to install. It works using magnets and the phone stays on it very securely - which was a concern of mine b/c my gear shifter is located directly below the vent where I placed mine. Plus, it has a nice feature that allows you to rotate your phone while it’s “attached” to the charger. So, if you’re using your phone for something like google maps you can just turn the base to the left and your phone stays attached & goes into landscape orientation. I really like being able to take it on & off the charging base so easily (vs having to clip it in like some other car mounted phone holders). Mine came in original mophie packaging which included: vent mount charginging base, usb to micro-usb cable, 12 volt to usb adapter.

I love this thing. This is absolutely one of the most useful and functional items I have ever purchased off of amazon. The magnet is strong enough to hold the phone to charge it while driving and using gps. I don’t have to fiddle around with clips or levers to attach and detach phone to holder. Only takes one hand to put it on and off.There is a downside though. But very small. Depending on the type of vent you have in your vehicle, the vent clip is difficult to keep secure without spending a few minutes initially attaching it. But once it’s on it stays on. Generally. I’ve had it fall off the vent a few times but that’s usually because I was tapping the screen while driving and the motion of my hand bumps the whole unit loosening it and making it more apt to come off the vent. But this is totally worth it. I’m pretty careful and really don’t use my phone while driving.

I have multiple Mophie charging cases for phones and this charging dock is a must have. The magnets are strong and it is extremely convenient to be able to take it on and off the dock with little to no effort.Some phones or charging cases may have issues charging. My Galaxy S8 Mophie case would not stay connected for more than 15 seconds. The phone was driving crazy with all the beeping noises when it would connect and disconnect on its own. I flipped the docking station upside down and it completely resolved that specific issue with my S8 charging case. Zero issues with my S7 Mophie case

The vent mount by Mophie is a great product, with some drawbacks. I got very used to the WizGear mount I had been using and the best feature it had was the fact that after mounting onto the vent I could swivel it so the phone was facing me. With the Mophie vent mount I lost the ability to swivel and with the way my vent is configured in my car (2015 Toyota Corolla), my phone was always angled up and away from my face. So I returned this after coming up with an AMAZING solution.I bought the Mophie Desk Mount and the WizGear Mount I mentioned before and paired the both of them together to make exactly the vent mount I wanted. I works exactly how I want it to flawlessly. I 100% recommend this configuration over the vent mount and really hope Mophie is reading this review for when they make gen 2 of the vent mount.I've pictured the mount I've made for your viewing pleasure and below I have linked the 2 products I use to make it. Love this product! Works well with my mophie charge force case. I thought it might not work with my iPhone 7 Plus since it's larger than the typical cases but it stays even on big bumps. The grip of the car vent is very strong and is rubberized so it won't scratch your air vent if you decide to move it to another car. I leave mine unplugged with the charging cable for daily use but it's also very convenient for long road trips or if I forgot to charge my phone/case to just plug it right into my cigarette lighter. Very convenient and great for the car. Would highly recommend this to anyone that wants there phone accessible but handsfree while you're driving. I even use it sometimes as a passenger for waze or navigation. Love it! Fits perfectly on my vent in my car and my husband's car. The vent mount also comes with a handy micro-usb cord & cigarette plug for convenient charging while it holds your phone. Works perfect for my iPhone 7 Plus and my husband's iPhone 7. It's great we have them in all of our cars.

AWFUL product. Extremely disappointed in this product from Mophie. 1st time they've ever let me down, but it's a big one. I purchased this product to hold + charge my iPhone X in the car and it doesn't even hold my phone sitting on my couch with or without a case on it. My phone turns and literally slides right off. Really makes me question a lot of other reviews. Should have realized this was a bust when it suddenly dropped to the $39.99 mark. Also the fact the iPhone X has been out for over a month and Mophie STILL doesn't have a case out for it really does bring a lot of things into question. FYI: I emailed Mophie over a week ago inquiring about why there's still no iPhone X case and still no reply. Mophies battery cases are top notch, but do yourself a favor and stay away from this product.
