I received my k-mart hula hoop 2 weeks ago. Initially looking at it I told myself it was going to be fiddly but I spent a good 20 minutes on learning how to clip and unclip the pieces together to male the hoop larger or smaller in circumference. I caught my fingers a couple of times trying to push the plastic pieces into the notches but with persistence I realised there is a knack to it and now I'm able to do it without any problems.Next I found the rope attached to the weight was way to long if you are a newbie as (if like me your core is weak) it's harder to get the momentum going so I shortened the rope.This worked perfectly and I kept practicing in 10 minute slots three times a day.Two weeks on I can do a straight 20 minutes and I absolutely love it. I can watch TV, listen to an audiobook whatever takes your fancy.I have lost an inch around my waist without hours of slogging in the gym.I absolutely would recommend this but would say be patient at the beginning to get used to the equipment then have tins of fun hooping the inches off!Value for money no gym membership needed.

1st it arrived really well packaged. Its very sturdy and the weighted ball has sand in it.I'm a size 20 and it just fits with all the loops.It is hard tó start off with, keeping momentum is difficult but I think it's more that I need the extra links as it's too high up on me. The hoop has to be perfectly parallel to the ground or it won't work. Also need to throw the ball parallel to the track it's on.After 30 mins I've maybe kept it going without having to throw the ball again for 10 mins on my own. The other 20 mins was trying to settle it on me. So do give it a chance and be patient with it. I could feel an effect from it and I hadn't even don't it properly.Unfortunately I'm in Ireland and they don't ship the extra links to my destination. Hence I'm docking a star.****Also please note it does have magnetic pieces in it so not for anyone with a pace maker. ***

I have used it once but I need to shorten the weight length because I am short!

Received the box sealed but when i opened it , seen one nut was broken, but I still tried to assemble it if I can use it but I’m not sure if it’s safe to use. I’m returning it and I’ll wait for a replacement.

Great item does the job it says helps you tone up value for money

Bought this for an ex girlfriend. She had a lot of fun using it and to be honest....i did too! Never been able to hula hoop but soon got into the swing of things, pun intended. Not only is it fun to use, you can feel the workout, even after a few minutes. It's made out of strong plastic and can be adjusted to fit most waist sizes. It's easy to adjust it too by simply clipping or unclipping on the extra parts that come with it. It's great value for the price too. If you're looking to lose weight and have fun, this is the product for you.

The product appears pretty sturdy and was easy to put together. The extra links was useful as I needed a couple to get it to fit me. As a size 16 (UK) lady, there's a bit of chub to encompass, but I was pleased I still had a couple of links spare after adding some to get it to do up.I'm someone who is hopeless at hula hooping, so I thought this would be a good way to get some basic core exercise into my daily routine. There were very basic instructions on how to assemble, but no instructions on how to use. The first attempt was a disaster.Luckily there is a YouTube video for pretty much anything and after a few false starts, I was away.But, oh my word though it is so noisy. It's like someone rattling a plastic sippy cup across playpen bars. Not something you can do at 5am without waking up half the household (plus the cat hates it).However, noise aside, once you get going it is quite fun, although make sure you're well away from little people, breakables, chairs and so on, because that swinging ball will take anything out.I'm still enjoying it and I'm hoping that it'll trim the middle bit of me down a bit over the next couple of week.
