Yes it is packaged in a wooden box. However, I returned mine as the writing was so light it was barely legible.

What is the difference between the black and the aluminum one?

I got the black one, the metal part of which is very shiny and it is hard to tell its color as it is like a mirror. The other one looks more like a satiny matte silver which is not polished smooth and reflective.

Can this write on normal paper ?

yup it can write on most of material. Problem is how to remove it
