YTX14-BS iGel High Performance - Rechargeable Replacement Maintenance Free - Sealed AGM Motorcycle Battery

Hello everybody, I am not sure if I just got lucky with the one I got, but this is actually the second battery from the same brand, different size, but same quality from both.. in all honesty when I bought this battery I was only expecting it to last for maybe 3 months, and still for the price it would have paid for its self only lasting that long.. I would have never in my life, betting a weeks pay thought that it would have lasted as long as it has, and still starts my motorcycle every time I push the button.. one other cool little gimmick feature that I enjoy is the little lcd screen on the battery showing the current voltage, capacity, and days installed..(I have a couple of pics attached).. when I was buying my first of the two of these batteries I was skeptical because of mixed reviews, but what’s to lose considering the price, I would have been happy if it lasted 2 months. That being said, this thing is now on day 757 and still going strong. WTF, my mind is blown, another pro about this battery is its light weight, not quite as light as a lithium polymer type, but close.. it is completely sealed and can be mounted in any direction.. so with all of that being said, I don’t know if I just got lucky twice, but when this thing does eventually take a dirt nap on me, I will most definitely be purchasing the same battery again. They have earned a repeat customer with me, and I recommend these batteries to my family and friends, I feel confident that they won’t leave my loved ones stranded, if you want a good battery and have a tight budget buy this now, you won’t be disappointed.. I am still in shock every day when this 40$, over two year old battery, fires my bike up with no issues..thank you for taking the time to read this in full, and hopefully your battery serves you as well as mine has me..

I purchased this exact same battery about five years ago for an ATV. I absolutely love the maintenance free portion and you truly install it and forget it. Where the ATV goes in waves of getting used, the battery maintained its charge over the years. Once it got around that five year mark, it needed a charge here and there until it just would not hold a charge any longer. As soon as this happened I purchased an identical one to replace it. This battery was absolutely awesome. I have them in just about everything I own that has a small engine battery. Rest assured when other batteries give up the ghost they will be replaced with one of these!

Con: Purchased for my Honda VTX 1300 motorcycle. Died in less than two years even with a battery tender on it when not in use.Pro: Easy to install. Handy voltage display on top of battery.

Ordered Tuesday, arrived Wednesday, installed Thursday.Not a difficult install. If you are in doubt, it is definitely in the cargo area, to the right of the spare wheel well. See youtube for a couple decent vids on what you need.The one little caveat is that the factory issue battery has threaded posts, and the bolts on the power leads from the vehicle screw into them. This replacement battery does NOT have threaded posts. It is not too big a deal. You just have to take the factory bolts off the leads (you have to bend three little metal tabs to get them out), and use the vertical mount configuration on the battery (bolts in from the top) and everything works great.If you are replacing the original, you'll note a little vent tube running down the side with the negative terminal. You have to detach this to remove the old battery (slides right off). This tube is not needed on the new batteries which are either completely sealed or handle venting differently.This is "day one" so will update when it's been in there for 6 months
