I've only used it with cauliflower, but it does EXACTLY what I wanted. It is so sturdy, just the right size and works perfectly to immediately get the florets off the core intact. I used to always use a knife but would wind up with so much rubble and mess. This gives you a quick and perfect cut, so easy to use.

I have arthritis and no longer have a strong grip so using a knife to core a cauliflower has actually become quite difficult and somewhat dangerous for me. That is why I decided to try this item and I am glad I did. It is easier to grip than a knife and, while not sharp, it separates the florets from the core of the cauliflower very efficiently and easily.

Already had one of these and must say great to use on a cauliflower, so good bought one for my daughter.

This tool doesn’t look like much but it’s amazing. It chops through the hard core with ease. Helps to chop into any size florets. Haven’t tried to rice with it. Overall it’s a plus to any kitchen.
