Perfect for streaming games from another room
This cable can be easily run along baseboards. It is rigid enough to maintain its shape and not get all wrinkly. But at the same time it is flexible enough that it can easily be shaped to navigate corners. This can be seen in the second photo. (I didn't have time to install the ties yet to affix it to the wall more permanently.)The cable also supports transmission at very fast speeds, which makes it suitable for transmitting video signals from room to room with excellent image quality and no perceptible (to me) latency. The cable appears to include shielding (based on the marketing images), which means there should be less interference between the lanes in the cable. Networking cables contain 2-4 lanes (each of which is a twisted pair of copper wires) that independently transmit data. So it's good to have these lanes be independently shielded. Otherwise the signals from one lane can interfere with signals in other lanes.I really like being able to play video games in both my bedroom and living room from the same PC with no perceptible (to me) latency. And I also don't like to clutter my living room with visible gaming equipment (consoles, PC tower, etc.). So I ran this CAT 8 cable from my living room to my bedroom, where my PC is. And I have a HDMI over CAT transmitter in my bedroom, next to my PC, and a HDMI over CAT receiver in my living room. Therefore the video signals can be sent over this CAT 8 cable. It was important for me to get a quality CAT cable like this one, since the transmitter is sending about 6 to 7 Gigabits per second of data over this cable while I am streaming games. CAT 8 cables have greatly higher bandwidth than previous cables, which can allow higher data transmission rates. The transmitters and receivers are also sending USB signals over the same CAT 8 cable, and I have an attached a USB hub in my TV cabinet. The hub has receivers attached for my mouse, keyboard and game controller. Therefore, my mouse, keyboard, and game controller in my living room are also connected to my PC in my bedroom, with no perceptible (to me) lag. The whole system works more or less perfectly. I can play video games that require precise timing (parrying, etc.) with no concerns about lag whatsoever and great image quality. This cable was a key enabler to that, since I wanted something that could be easily run along the baseboard (so not too thick, easy to bend), but that also had great shielding and components to be able to transmit at a high data rate over a longish (35 ft) distance. If you are curious, I bought my AV transmitter and receivers as a pair from AV Access on Amazon (search Amazon for ASIN:B073B84CY1 and ignore any sponsored results). I bought the USB 2.0 hub in the image elsewhere, but StarTech makes some good USB 2.0 hubs that are sold on Amazon. I like USB 2.0 hubs more than recent ones since I have heard reports that newer hubs can cause interference with USB receivers for keyboards etc due to the higher signaling rate causing interference. And I like externally powered hubs to avoid overdrawing current from the video receiver. I'm also using a HDMI splitter from AV Access so my HDMI signals from my gaming PC goes to both the TV in my bedroom, and also across this link to my living room TV. It's a Samsung QLED TV and a Mopio Ensley Tall TV stand. And I use a USB receiver from May Flash (also bought on Amazon) to allow my game controller to connect to the USB hub.Overall I'm really pleased with this setup. And this cable was a great find to help enable it to work.

Perfect Ethernet Cable
High quality ethernet cable i use from my pc across the hallway to the router. It's exactly what I wanted, it's flat so It can go under the door and through the hallway without being caught or stepped on as much like most lan cables. Zero issues with connection or speed it works great!

Works fine, winding it up is a challenge if it's temporary
I only docked it a star because as flat cords go, this one is particularly hard to wind up. You may not be worried about that at all if you are looking to hook something up and leave it as it is, which I suppose is what most people will do with this. But if you do need to use it for frequent connections and then the cable must be unhooked and stowed away or moved, this wide flat cable will twist and kink like it is possessed. So it takes considerable time & effort to wind it very slowly and fight the twists. AS a long time cable handler I am used to this sort of thing and round cables don't give you that much trouble but a wide flat one like this does, especially when it is a heavy duty thicker cable like this is. I'm probably dwelling on that too much because it is a good cable and works well. Connectors are solid, cable is thick. No problems with connections.

Great Cat 8 . Future Proofed.
Ah, gather 'round, fellow internet nomads, for I have unearthed the technological marvel that is the Cat8 Ethernet Cable – the feline of connectivity, prowling through the digital wilderness with speed and grace that would make a cheetah jealous.Let's start with the speed, shall we? It's like strapping a turbocharger onto your data highway. The internet becomes a thoroughbred racehorse, leaving lag in the dust and streaming videos in breathtaking 4K clarity. It's so fast; I half-expect my emails to arrive before I even send them. Now, the durability of this cable is a saga in itself. It's not just a cable; it's a cable forged in the fires of Mount Connectivity, resistant to the perils of tangling and wear. I've accidentally performed acrobatic feats of cable tripping, and not a single scratch on the Cat8 – it's practically a ninja in the world of wires. And the connectors, oh dear tech deities, the connectors are like the puzzle pieces of the digital realm. They click into place with the satisfaction of solving a Rubik's Cube, ensuring a snug fit that screams, "No data shall escape my grasp!" It's the kind of connection that would make even the most stoic IT professional shed a tear of joy.But let's not forget the humor in this technological marvel. I mean, "Cat8" sounds more like a secret agent codename than a cable specification. I can almost imagine it donning sunglasses and whispering, "The internet is my playground." It's the James Bond of cables, suave and efficient. In conclusion, the Cat8 Ethernet Cable isn't just a cable; it's a digital samurai, a sleek and powerful companion in the vast landscape of ones and zeroes. With speed, durability, and a touch of espionage, it's the cable you never knew you needed until you experience the internet in all its Cat8 glory. So, fellow netizens, upgrade your digital steed, and let the Cat8 whisk you away to a land of seamless connectivity and streaming dreams!

wish it wasn't so flat
Great, but wish it wasn't so flat. Do they make it this way so you can crimp it shorter later? I doubt 90% of the people buying it know how to wire an RJ-45 plug. Still, good quality, no issues, and it passes just under a radiator and works fine so it's fairly well made.
