Most Honest Review After 12 Hours — Is it Worth It???
The media could not be loaded. I’ve been running this thing for about 12 hours now on my 18-gallon hydroponic/aeroponic tote, and I gotta say, ZERO leaks. Not a drip. Not a damp spot. I know how big that is when you’re running water 24/7 so I had to start with that.I set my temps to target 65°F and trigger at 68°F and it works exactly how I hoped. Most of the time it floats right around 67, which is totally fine for me. It keeps the water cool and keeps my roots happy. I’ve looked over and seen it at 65 or 66 a few times too so it’s definitely doing its job. Again no leaks at all. ZERO.Now here’s something important: follow the instructions on the box!!! If it says “do not turn it on for 24 hours” and keep it upright , do that! There’s a reason and you don’t want to ruin your unit by being impatient. As for the pump that comes with it, I did some digging and it’s only pushing about 158 GPH. Not great, especially if you’re trying to keep steady flow. I ended up switching to my Knifel 300 GPH submersible pump and the difference was night and day. Way better circulation for chilling and spraying. To protect my investments I wrap every pump I use with a foam filter, zip tie (snug not tight), then cover it with a paint strainer bag, zip tie that shut, and boom! No clogs in my sprayers or pump. Peace of mind.Install was simple. Everything worked like it should, no crazy mods or special tools needed. And now that I’ve seen it in action, I gotta say, I LOVE ITIf you’re on the fence, don’t be. I was skeptical too, but now I’m all in. This chiller is doing exactly what I needed and more. Just buy it. You’ll be glad you did. HURRY UP, what are you waiting for??????💚

Best solution to my temperature issues.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I set up a 40 gallon aquarium for 2 axolotls. I was having issues getting my temps to hold at the correct temperature range. With this chiller I have been able to get the temps to hold between 60 - 65 perfect for the axolotls. Thanks for the perfect solution!

Works good with the few adjustments, and some warnings about the product
I use this product on my 75 gallon aquarium that use house axolotls, the first one they sent me worked great until I had to move the aquarium and moved the chiller, I waited 24 hours just like it said to in the directions and it did not work afterwards, the second one I got which is the one I have now works great the only issue I had is that it started overheating and I was not able to keep it underneath my aquarium storage area with the door shut oh, and needs good ventilation and even then sometimes that is not enough I had to buy a fan and run a fan blowing on it to keep it cool in order for it to do its job, this is rated for 42 gallons of water I keep my water level about 3 in from the top and I also have about 4 in of substrate my tank is about 55 maybe 60 gallons when it's all said and done and this keeps my team at a cold 60 degrees to about 65 degrees during the very hot part of the day which is around a hundred plus degrees Fahrenheit where I live so all in all I think this is worth the money but if you invest a few hundred dollars more you could get something better and more reliable which is what I might do in the future

Hasn't been cooling lately
I bought this a little over a month ago, I have it set to 64 and it keeps the tank a consistent 65.4 all the time. The other day though, I noticed it had the dot that meant it was cooling but it wasn't actually on and cooling down so I had to turn it off and on. Today it did the same thing and I'm glad I caught it because it was almost at 70°. I was about to leave for work without even realizing it wasn't working. This can really stress out my axolotl and I'm not happy.Update: currently 8 months later and it's doing it again. It did it last night while I was at work, it got to almost 70°F again, and it did it this morning when I woke up. It happened about a week ago too. If this this stops working I can't afford to buy a new one.

Exactly what I needed!
I've been using this water chiller for a few weeks now and could not be happier with it. I don't find it loud at all. It doesn't seem to put out too much heat. I haven't had a single leak. It has been keeping my water (24 gallons) a cold and steady 64F and after a week I've almost forgotten that it's there.Overall I have no complaints about this water chiller. They are expensive, but well worth it to keep water temps below 70F.

2 weeks in and been good
Have this for my 55-gal axolotl tank. Modified hoses to run through my canister filter. Tank water into filter, then filter outflow to chiller, and finally back to tank from chiller. No leaks so far. Instructions are a little weird but not that bad. Tank temperature has been holding steady. I ended up buying this with the Amazon extended warranty thing just to be on the safe side. Been good so far.

Fabulous Chiller!
This keeps my turtle tank at a comfortable 75 degrees F! Well worth every cent. I have a 30 gal. tank in my lanai in Florida and it can get up to 104 degrees. The tank water went as high as 86 and the cheap chiller I got did nothing to cool the water. I had to add frozen water bottles and ice to reduce the water by just 1 degree. Until I got this chiller and it cooled the water gently and now remains at 75F (could be any temp you want). Spend the money on a good chiller like this one --- forget the cheap ones!

So far so good
I bought this about three months ago for my kid's axolotl tank. It does what it says. It chills water. One thing to note is that there is a separate pump that cycles the water, and this big box is the thing that cools it. I mean, basically, it's an air conditioner that has a radiator with water in it.That said, I haven't had any problems, and it seems to work. And when it does kick on, it doesn't make that much noise. So, not bad.
