This item worked great for us out of the box. We are quite happy having our vintage 9" TV displaying our cable channels now.

This is my third one of these. The devices look the same but i think the electronics must be different. And the seller is different. The last two worked for a short time but not as well as this one. The first one quit working altogether. The last one developed a motor boat sound. The picture was fine. This one has an excellent picture and the sound is fine. When you first turn the TV on there is a small amount of banding that clears within seconds and then a beautiful picture. Fingers crossed, that this device remains good.

The device never worked. I got this device so I can connect an older tv to the modern cable system. So it was odd I cannot set a channel such as 3 or 4, and I have to use scan channel to locate the right channel, if I do have that feature, channel scan usually takes awhile. The housing is made of low quality plastic and fit and finish is similar to 99¢ store quality. The manual is not much help. It wasted so much time with no result. I ended up returning it. I would not recommend this product.

Pros:- Super easy to set up- Remote has tons of functionality. Adjusting overscan, contrast, etc.- Gives that classic child nostalgia feel- Very convenient, just one step from HDMI to CoaxialCons:The only real downside is the video quality. It doesn’t match the clarity of an HDMI → RCA converter → RF modulator setup. While this may not bother most users, I’m quite picky.If only there were a way to get the best of both worlds… Unfortunately, I’ll be returning this.

The unit works fine for what I needed. Converting a digital signal to an old a anaog TV. The cords you get are very short and needed extenions.

I think the people who are not happy with this product did not take the time to adjust their image using the settings feature that is part of the converter. That and people are probably so used to their 4K and high resolution images that they forget just what the old screens look like, cause let's face it, if you are using this, you are most likely using some older tech.I got this converter so I could use the built-in TV screen that is part of an old, gym-quality treadmill I picked up. At first I though there was no way I could handle watching such bad image quality, but I played with the settings (something to do while warming up for a run) and found it very easy to adjust the image to get the best quality I could out of the old flat screen. One thing to remember is that the remote is line-of-sight, so make sure nothing is in the way.I am using an old Ruko device off my house wifi and running an HDMI cable into the converter. I honestly think that if my screen was able to handle it, the image quality would be even better. Pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to use. Install is a breeze. I wish it had been a little cheaper, but no complaints about how well it works!

Shipping was timely but the converter did not work. Was the correct one for my conversion just did not work period. I have missed the return window therefore I cannot speak on how well customer service would be for this issue.
