MURASAME Katana Sword Real 41 inch L6 Steel Clay Tempered Nice Hamon Very Sharp Top Handmade

The media could not be loaded. I am in awe of this piece of artwork. This is the 8th in my collection and everything about this Katana is amazing. It feels like nothing I’ve ever felt in my hand the attention to detail is absolutely incredible. It’s razor sharp basically a 4’ razor blade. The Ito is tight and comfortable to grip. The Hamon is absolutely unreal I have no doubt that this as durable as any other steel on the market. The Bohi makes the loudest and deepest sounding swoosh I have ever heard with barely any effort put into the swing. I was thinking of sending this back because of the price I could order several cheaper swords for the price of this one but honestly I don’t think I can bring myself to send it back. If I do it won’t be any fault of the artists that had a hand in making this masterpiece it would be because I need other things. But that being said I will hold onto this for a few days and try out some cuts and some drawing and sheathing it will be a pleasure to train with this beautiful piece of art.

The media could not be loaded. I can save you a read and come out and say just buy it. This is a great upper-tier budget-level replica katana. The fit and finish are excellent for the price range. This is not a 5k to 10k sword and cannot be judged on that level. It could be a tad sharper, and there is some binding in the saya when replacing the blade. That’s my only major gripe, so Iaido is going to be tricky. It’s a functional sword and worthy of someone beginning as a collector or practitioner. This is my second Murasame, and I can’t say it will be my last.

Over the years I've bought a lot of swords from a lot of vendors, and this stands out above any other item in my collection.The first thing you'll notice about this sword is the blade. The hamon and overall quality of the steel is incredible. Not only does it look amazing, but it glides through wrapped tatami mats like they're air. It comes incredibly sharp (it'll slide through paper no problem out of the box), and holds its edge well after heavy use. I buy my swords for function, and this has held up to everything I've put it through and looks as good as the day I bought it.The ito is wrapped very tight and well. The material is great for a solid grip and looks incredible. The kashira is still snug and hasn't started moving at all even after heavy use. The ray skin is real and has a nice look and feel to it.I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase. I heard a lot of good things about this seller from YouTube reviews, and they didn't disappoint. My only complaint is that this purchase has spoiled me, and I'm going to end up buying from these guys exclusively from now on. If you have the money and want a sword with great quality, you've found your purchase.

The media could not be loaded. Saya, 6/10Blade, 10/10Tsuka, 10/10This L6 steel blade has a beautiful polish on it. One of my favorites in my collection. The blade edge is razor sharp, no issues cutting printer paper. The Bohi (or blade groove/fuller) gives the sword a very nice balanced feel in the hand. The Ito wrap is nice and tight, the fittings all fit well and have a good aesthetic look to them with very nice gold detailing. Hard durable Ox horn pieces on the Saya with thick Sageo cord wrapped in a presentation knot. A lot of attention to detail was put into this sword.The blade tip area does have a rattle in the Saya. The Koiguchi fit to the Habaki is a little tight, it should loosen over time with use though.

Item was as described and exceeded my expectations.

I feel like this katana was made very well. The blade was in excellent condition, the handle (Tsuka) was very nice the ito was tight and well placed, the tsuba was nicely crafted, the mekkugi pins were strait, the balance was nice about 4” from the tsuba. The katana didn’t rattle in the saya good tension on the kogichi with the habaki. There are plenty of good things to say about this katana I am very picky on certain details and they exceeded my expectations. For a katana that cost less than $500.00 I feel they really hit the mark, I am very pleased with my purchase and I would recommend this katana for sure.

First of all, I ordered 2 of these swords in the past two weeks and I have sent both swords back. Don't waste your money! The first sword was poorly packaged. Only a thin recycled cardboard box separated it from shipping and handling. It arrived with the blade visibly warped and paint chipped from the Tsuba. The second sword arrived in the same thin box, but was also encased in an Amazon shipping box. Even though it was packaged somewhat better, the blade was visibly warped and showed signs of chips and rust.Let's review the blade: There's no way to determine if the metal is truly L6. Both of my swords arrived with the blades visibly warped. The fittings: The fittings are pot metal and cheaply painted. The silk sword bag is actually rough sack cloth. As I mentioned earlier, don't waste your money. I've paid half for far better swords on Ebay.

The quality of this sword is excellent. It also uses real ray skin, you can tell just by looking at it. There is not anything i did not like about this sword. It is super sharp. Will i buy from these guys in the future. Yes. And so should you.
