Fantastic resource
This is a great resource covering all areas of science and allowing flexibility to study topics in your own order and at your own pace. There is a related Facebook group which is especially helpful for assisting with queries and also sharing ideas and resources from other users of the book series.

Really excellent
This is a really excellent science curriculum. It integrates and reviews concepts so that they are not only understood when taught, but retained in long-term memory. My daughter is able to apply concepts to new situations in real life. The author is also very supportive and runs the BFSU community, where you can ask questions directly. The only drawback (for some people) is that it is most definitely not open-and-go. It requires prereading and thinking on the parent's part, to teach. If you want to supplement with books, that needs to be thought about in advance also. However the activities are, for the most part, done with ordinary supplies around the house. We are now well into the second book and enjoying it greatly. I know of people in the States who have gone directly from the third book to AP courses (roughly the equivalent of A levels) and found their children well prepared.
