Great value espresso and amazing crema
Gusto Crema arrived fast and fresh. I’ve tried several brands of whole bean coffee - fromsmall, boutique roasters to large commercial producers (Illy, Lavazza). Bottom line, this coffee produces excellent espresso with incredible crema. It’s a medium roast that yields delicious flavor in line with its description. The value for me, I like 12 ounces per bag versus a 2.2 pound bag because I only drink a few shots of espresso per day and therefore it results in less spoilage for me. My personal preference is to dial in a grind setting of 20 grams of beans that yield between 38-45 grams of espresso output in 25-30 seconds. It’s a repeatable process that translates into amazing espresso every morning. This is my new go to bean for espresso! Give it a try.

Good medium roast
Just getting into grinding my own beans and this one came recommended. So far liking and will likely buy again to have as one of our staples. Not giving 5 as I’m just starting down this adventure.

Great coffee!
I make espresso at home. I've been cutting down on my caffeine, though, so I use mostly big box store decaf beans; which makes it a bit less tasty.Mixing in some of these Umbria beans (three parts decaf with one part Umbria) makes the mix amazing.Just stellar and arrived fast too.

Great Dark Roast
I'm a coffee snob and by George Howell locally. This dark roast is a close 2nd to what I typically buy.

No roasting date given, Price increase again
This is my fourth bag of Bizzarri blend from Cafe Umbria. The first was purchased at their Queen Anne outlet just off Mercer. There was no roasting date, but I enjoyed it more than thier "espresso" blend by far. So I placed a subscription order starting last November when the price was $13 for a 12 oz bag of beans. Now the price has increased steadily to $15 for a 12 oz bag. I will not make future purchases through Amazon. Seattle has too many other options at that price point with better quality. They also show the roasting date. Only Starbucks hides their roasting date as well with the same "best by date". Since the prices for green beans for the at home roaster have not increased over the last six months, it is apparent that Cafe Umbria is following the profit gouging trend of other roasters who don't really consider customer loyalty. I will be switching back to Vivace and Fonte. At least when I order by mail, I can see the roasting date.
