I bought this for a window storage seat that I made for my house, and it has certainly met my expectations. The media could not be loaded. Really happy with the soft closing mechanisms. There are well made, very easy to fit and work a treat. These lids in our kitchen were lethal before, such a difference. They are guaranteed for 2 years so I am pretty confident they will stand the rest of time.

I purchased a pair of these to support the lid of an old wooden toy-box (it was my daughter's and destined for her new arrival).Fitting is easy using the included template.One of these was sufficient to support the weight of the lid (over 2.5Kg) & provide gentle closing, minimising the risk to little fingers.A great & good value product!

I fixed both hinge supports to one lid. No chance the lid exceeded the weights claimed for a pair. It holds the lid open at angles 90 to 45 degrees - no sign of soft closing. Does soft close from 45 to 40 degrees, then gives up and lets the lid drop free. The product description claims this a hydraulic unit. I doubt this - it's performance is like a simple friction device. I added a separate safety device to stop little fingers from getting trapped and the hold open feature is actually quite useful, so I have not sent them back, but I would not buy this product again. As others reviews have noted, the instructions are poor.

This is a great product, robust and easy to install. It comes with a template to allow for a perfect fit. I had tried a few other less expensive options none of which worked successfully, the slow close worked until it got to around 30 degrees then the lid slammed shut. The Douper keeps a consistent speed all the way till close. The hinges are expensive but you do get what you pay for.

The media could not be loaded. Tried other soft close hinge for toy box and they were rubbish. They would always slam shut towards the end. So I did more research and came across these and their brilliant. I thought I might need two because the lid is quite big at L 940mm H 410 mm T 18mm Plywood hardwood.But one does it perfectly definitely wood by again. The fitting was really easy it comes with a card that gives you the location of were to put the scree holes but I found these don't line up with the plate proper so I fitted it myself. Really easy to fit and use.
