Tasty and Satisfying
Treet makes a good sandwich. I refrigerate it and use 1/3 can per sandwich. The price is good.

Great taste
Flavor is great, just grill it and put it on an English muffin with onion.

Armour Star Treet Luncheon Loaf, Canned
It's not like SPAM that I love since our family got a can in a care packet after WW II in 1945 ("real" meat was as good as unavailable to buy), and for memory's sake I bought a carton of this luncheon loaf. Great for camping or when you run out of sandwich meat although I prefer SPAM. Super for cheating my little dog into eating his dry food: I chop a small amount of this luncheon meat into the dry pellets, mix it well, and good doggie devours this sneaky concoction…

Not Spam(tm) but...
Pretty good at 2/3 the price of Spam(tm) but the sodium is a surprise, literally! some report receiving dusty cans with 800mg/2oz serving, I received clean and fresh cans with 690mg/2 oz serving, label shown in the listing says 480mg/2oz serving... Flavor is like other chicken+pork luncheon meats and a tasty bargain compared to Dollar (and a quarter) Tree's tiny (5oz) cans of Celebrity "Pink Pearl school erasers" err... pork plasma and pork rind "meat" (yes, pork plasma and pork skin are the actual pork ingredients in Dollar Tree's krud, and the texture and flavor actually resembled childhood memories of erasers!) Flavor is milder than the Hormel product (because of the chicken) and sodium might or might not be lower and worth putting a case (or two) in the pantry for emergencies or just for camping... I've been getting cases and donating to a local church food pantry for the clients without cooking facilities...

Too Salty
Treet has an alright taste but it’s too salty. My family ate this years ago but it was never this salty. It had a nice sweet smoky flavor. I have no idea why companies keep messing with products that have no issues, only to make it worst. I’m a firm believer in “If it ain’t broke, stop trying to fix it!”

Goes good with beans, and cheaper than ham.
Goes great diced in a crockpot with a 20 oz bag of Hurst's ham beans 15 bean soup on low for fourteen hours (with plenty of water, ofcourse). And you can buy all that right here on Amazon.

Nutrition label is incorrect about the sodium amount.
The nutrition label on the current Armour Star Treet Amazon page shows 480mg of sodium at 20% daily value per serving. The nutrition label on the Armour Star Treet can shows 800mg of sodium at 33% daily value per serving. The meat is way too salty at 4800 mg sodium per can. The salt overpowers the taste of the meat. The cans themselves are very poorly designed and difficult to pull open. One of the pull tabs completely broke off. The cans are also unusually dirty on the outside.
