HI Juan, The cutters on our pliers are very strong carbide cutter and probably can cut wire. But we would not recommend it as this prolonged use such as this could damage the cutters over time.

Yes, I have had no issues with these pliers. Had no bending present when removing hooks. Like them a lot. Will be getting another pair for my other backpack.
