Q: Does the handle get hot to hold comfortably?

I have not noticed it. Although it is a strong handle, the spatula part is weak, I only use it for lighter pieces of fish .

Q: Does the handle have a hole for hanging or is it solid?

Mine has a nice hole/slot for hanging, ergonomic grooved handle. 2&1/2" W at base x 6" L &3 1/2" wide . Good for turning fish.
