SPECIAL brass spud for a very specific purpose
Since nobody (including the seller) bothered to describe what this spud is for, I guess I will. This spud is SPECIFICALLY designed for old urinals with a 2" opening in the china, and it accepts ONLY the old 1-1/4" Sloan (or other branded) flush valve vacuum breaker tube.

If This Is What You Need, It's A Quality Part
Thanks to Troy for his earlier review. I HAVE a 2" porcelain opening and nowhere does anyone, including Am. Std's website, list any dimension other than 2-1/4" for this part number. Ordered this, got it in a couple days, problem solved. Since I didn't know my 1990s vintage urinal Model Number, Am. Std's "Tech Support" (possibly some intern with a P/N cross-reference book) couldn't answer the simple question: "does this work on a 2" opening?".

exactly what was expected all brass nicely machined
This was exactly what was expected all brass nicely machined. You need a spud wrench or maybe a crescent wrench handle to tighten.

This item does not fit an actual 2 ¼” hole in the porcelain. It will work for 2”.

NOT FOR 2¼" PORCELAIN OPENING
I had a 2¼" porcelain opening for a urinal drain. The flared brass end is only 2". Even with the rubber gasket snugged up all the way, this spud falls out. Urinal was dry when I attempted install. Might work for a 2 ⅛" opening. It would work well for a 2" porcelain opening. My application had a blind drain for an older urinal so I could not drop in from the top. Well made product, but not applicable for 2 ¼" porcelain drain opening.
