I bought this to wear as a beater watch...in other words, one that's easy to read that I could wear swimming, working on the car, or doing other rough stuff that would be abusive to watches and prematurely damage or age them. For $15, you can't go wrong with this watch.Pros:> Easy to read due to large white numerals & hands against a black background.> Stylish in a very simple & elegant way so that it can be worn for any occasion without being flashy or cheap looking.> Band is a little wider than normal, which is more comfy and tougher.> Price is right, so that if I damage or break it, I don't care.Cons:> The clear face is plastic, not crystal. Crystal would have been a nice touch for added toughness & scratch resistance. I have no idea how well this plastic face will endure over time, but if your hand is buried deep in an engine or other machinery, or scrapes against the side of a pool, I have a feeling it'll scratch up pretty good. But time will tell.> No day/date, which I would have liked to have. I looked all over Amazon's lineup of Casio watches for a similar looking one with day/date, and under $20, and there are none. I looked at other reliable name-brands too, but they had none that could compete with this Casio on simplicity & price.That being said, I would gladly pay a few dollars more if it had a crystal face and day/date function. Other than that, it's a great watch at a good price that you can beat around and not worry about.

Casio. Black on black with white dashes, no numbers. No date. No alarm. Doesn’t light up or glow in the dark. Not too big or small with a thin enough profile to never be in the way or catching on things.It tells time........very well. That’s it, that’s all it does for me, and so with a simplistic and classic style sure to be copied by all who lay eyes on it.Five stars all the way and for $20 is a great value. I traded my G-Shock for this watch and I am very happy that I did.Side note: Have showered with it on with no issues.Update September 27, 2024:Purchased in 2019, I still wear this watch every day. It has held up well through work, swimming, sand, showering, jail …..and it continues to tell nearly perfect time. Replaced the Battery every 6 months to a year depending on the quality of the battery. This only requires a P0 or P00 (tiny Philips) driver and a pair of tweezers. I think the battery is 357. I had to replace the spring loaded pins that hold the band onto the timepiece after I snagged something and bent them. Found the replacements here on Amazon. Great watch and worth every cent of the $20 I paid for it. Thank you Casio for not selling me crap. Maybe there is still hope.

Casio is well known for the quality of their products, and this product is no exception. Nevertheless, there are a couple of things that should be known:1. The watch is by no means 44 mm in diameter. Its diameter is only 41 mm, 41.5 mm tops, excluding the crown, of course.2. The strap o this watch is made of rubber. Rubber is comfortable for small straps/small watches, like F-91 W. The Casio G-Shock series is also very well designed, and the straps sit well in my wrist. But in this model (MW-240), I find the strap rather stiff and uncomfortable, leaving marks in my wrist. The loop also does not hold its position (too big?). At the end, I replaced the original strap of this watch by a third-party smartwatch silicone strap, and all problems were solved.

Cannot say enough good things about this watch for the price. I have received many compliments on this watch, many more than I have ever received than some of my more expensive watches. Right out the box, it is easy to get started, like most Casio watches I find. The one compliant I have is that the date stopped working on the watch, but maybe it can be fixed. My friend said you are supposed to pull the wheel twice in order to change the date, but I cannot seem to fix it for the meantime. I would not have this deter you from purchasing this watch because overall it is still a great watch.

Cute dial, works well, light and keeps good time

I bought this to use as a temporary measure while my "good" watch was being repaired. But I have been pleasantly surprised at what a quality watch this is. It is not elegant, but it is easy to read and keeps remarkably good time. So far it has been off by about a second a week. The only improvement I could wish for is a luminous dial.

Full size watch for an adults size wrist, light and thin. Awesome watch for the price.

I’ve been a Casio watch fan for decades, beginning with the original G-Shock. This analog Casio is not anything like a G-Shock but it’s not supposed to be. It’s a regular, analog watch and looks and feels great. I don’t know how they build and sell these things for the very reasonable prices they sell them but I’m a fan!
