Great product

I got 3 of these working fine with Alexa but it took a lot of time.They work on 2 ghz. My Virgin router sends out a 2 ghz and a 5 ghz signal. This meant initially the plug isn’t detected. Go into router settings and turn off 5 ghz when setting up.There are 2 broadlink apps and it seems only one works with Alexa. The one you need is IHC FOR EU.There is nothing wrong with the plug but the spp and setup is terrible.If you can buy these cheap and don’t mind spending time then go ahead.If you are looking for an easy life then maybe not.Once up and running they are great.

Had this plug for 4 months and stopped connecting to Alexa. After number of emails to service support got no further!! Don’t buy it.

Did not work, would not connect whatsoever. So had to return it.

So, I just picked up my 3rd outlet, and I have a blackbean. I have 1.) Controls the living room entertainment center, 2.) Controls an AC / Heat pump unit in my daughters playroom, 3.) Controls an oil filled radiator heater in the basement, the black bean is a remote for the AC unit that I can control with my phone.Device 1.) I have it set up on a timer to turn off while we aren't home, and to turn off while we are sleeping. I estimate it saves about 40-50$ a year of vampire energy, and has worked flawlessly since the install.Device 2.) A smart outlet with energy meter. This is nice to know how many KWH i have used on my AC unit upstairs. Because the playroom is in an attic, it has a draw of around 1300 watts, max usage. The smart outlet has had no problem. This is the only function I have problems with and hence the 4 / 5 stars. I have reported the issue, but I have to constantly login using a user name and password if i want to see energy history. I have tried to save it time and time again, but the app always logs out.Device 3.) Black bean. The black bean is running on a USB power source close to the AC. Because its an IR blaster, It just memorizes the functions from a remote, and you can name them whatever, example 70AC, Dehumidify, 68 Heat, 70 Heat, 64 heat. By doing this I can control it from anywhere in the world.Device 4.) Another simple smart plug. 5 minute install using the APP. Its to control a heater I will put on a timer in the basement.That being said, I haven't tried alexa or google home integration, as I find no use for it. By saying "hey google, turn on the basement heater". I can in the same amount of time tap it on. It seems like a lot of frustration for not much reward? Anyhow, how this review helped!

This is a big joke!!!! After nearly an hour I got it to function with the exception of getting it to work with Alexa. Using the app I turned on the night light, it came on BLUE and provided very little light. I switched it off and back on; it came on WHITE and provided even less light. This thing is going back because you need a flashlight to see anything around this poorly designed product. If possible I would rate this a MINUS 5 stars!!!!!!!!
