The unique pad in the lower lumbar area in conjunction with the adjustable ratchet feature is what separates this belt from any other. Even with extensive core exercises my lower lumbar has issues due to herniations. With the setwear I can return to playing hockey and other athletic and physical tasks. As a firefighter I put it on prior to donning my protective turnout gear. With all my gear and equipment it weighs 65+ lbs before I start working. This is my second setwear belt and it allows me to lead an active lifestyle that the traditional belt will not

Awesome, supportive belt

I purchased this belt is for my husband who is currently doing strongman training. He's really had to up his game recently and go outside his comfort zone so I suggested that he get a belt. This belt was a great choice! It has fantastic lumbar support and he says that it is very comfortable. He said that the difference during squats was amazing and it seems that his deadlift we're stronger and more solid. My husband is 6', around 210lbs and a size 36 waist, we got his the L/XL and it fits great. It's east to get this on, slip the Velcro strap through the metal ring and pull it to the desired tightness. At first he didn't like the little fine tuning/locking mechanism but after a bit of trial and error he now loves it. This is a great belt and he says you should grab one for yourself if you're a serious lifter.I received this item at a discounted in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
