Boy... you're gonna' carry that weight!
I bought this for "rucking" which is the act of carrying higher weight during exercise. I blew out a couple of backpacks I had on hand carrying just 20-30 lbs. The bag I received has worked out great; able to carry 30-40 pounds (I haven't gone higher) for forced march walks and jogs with no indication of seam or bag failure. I've had this bag for several months and took it with me on a recent trip to South America where I stuffed it full for provision trips, etc. Great bag for the price.

look all these 5 star fake reviews, weird chemical smells. poor design.
Serious doubts this seller bought all these 4.5-star reviews from China.1. it comes with a weird chemical smell2. it looks like made of very cheap material.3. very bad design, very hard to wear feels very uncomfortable.i don't know how to describe this, simply, when you wear it, it feels like a large gap between the backpack and your body, and the way it force you just very uncomfortable. Not recommended!

Updating review - removing 1 star for changes to design since original purchase
UPDATE AFTER ABOUT ONE YEAR: So I've lived with this pack for a little over a year now. I really wear this thing - I hiked over 3200 miles in 2018 as part of maintaining a 325 lb weight loss. I'm still pretty happy with the one I bought then despite an issue with the chest strap. The attachment to the shoulder strap has come loose and will need to be resewn at a luggage shop. That said, I bought another one to have as a spare while I get the first one repaired, and they've made some changes to the design that I don't like. One, the interior strap and buckle to secure a hydration pack has been replaced with a single velcro tie. This was already a weak point, and I think when I get the old one repaired I will have something sewn in that works better. Two, the waist strap that was already too thin is now even thinner - it was 1.5 in. webbing, now it's 1 in. Overall, it seems like the workmanship and materials are poorer too - there's thread hanging off one of the shoulder straps and some of the seams are not flat, the interior pocket for the hydration pack is just a thin layer of fabric instead of the insulated material of the old one, the shoulder straps now don't come with the little slack-keeper dealies. A year ago, this pack was a real find at $35. But now at $50 and less good than the old one, the new one is going back and I'm going to get something else.ORIGINAL REVIEW: Somewhere there is a thief wearing a very nice backpack. Ordered on a Friday, delivered the following Monday, and stolen from my building before I could get to it. It's Wednesday now, the replacement arrived earlier today, and I walked from West Hollywood to Burbank (12 miles) with it and am very happy. It's a big backpack - swallowed up my 3L Platypus Big Zip in a neoprene sleeve and a lot of clothing and gear with room to spare. The main pockets are very roomy and well laid out, the hydration bag pocket was so well insulated I still had ice water 8 hours later, and the side pockets are very easy to access with the pack on. A lot of nice touches and hard thinking in the design - everything from side pocket zipper direction to drinking tube channels is perfect. I feel like this would be a good pack at 2-3 times the price - at $35 it's a bargain. I'm 5'8" and it is just a little big on the shoulders for me - I might have a strap put on it just above the handle to put some tension on the shoulder straps and pull them together a little bit. Stitching and fabric all looks and feels high quality. Recommended!

Awesome, great quality but Not waterproof though
Awesome, great quality, lots of storage compartments, love the color, its made in china but still feels like a sturdy build, I use it to go to work and carry my laptop, headset and what not.Something important to note, this is NOT waterproof, I was under the rain with my laptop inside it and it got all wet, everythibg inside actualy was all wet.

Great backpack for rucking!
Perfect! Just what I was looking for to workout with and go rucking. Has a great waist belt for when you do planks and push-ups, so the weights I load in it stay in place better.

Bad bag. Do not buy!
Seemed like a nice bag for the money... dont do it. Under very light use the seam on the top zipper ripped out.

and my overall happiness of the backpack
I just received my pack. My 4 star rating is based on the size of the backpack, the construction of the backpack, and my overall happiness of the backpack. I will update my rating once the durability is tested.I am a daily commuter on a motorcycle. For me, storage and durability are key components. I do not want an extremely large and cumbersome pack. This back pack is large enough for my 15" laptop, a change of shoes or clothes, some miscellaneous items, and rain gear without being obnoxiously large.Motorcycle specific packs are ridiculously priced and this Mardingtop looks as well built as any I've seen. There is plenty of pocket options for different storage configurations of gear whether you want quick access or only occasional access. There is not a helmet storage compartment, but there's several options for attaching your helmet to the outside of the pack. With a waist and chest strap, it will be as secure as ant pack I've had that MC specific. The stitching looks very well done and the quick connect buckles are not think and cheap, but solid and click in place firmly.I will update in time on the durability. All in all I am very happy with this $40 purchase that arrived in 2 days.

Uh...The zipper thingy is missing
I love it but there's one little problem. The zipper doesn't have a handle or the little zipper thingy. WTFBut what everAnyway It holds my 15.6 inch laptop, Anker flashlight, umbrella, L snow gloves, Amazon Basic tablet case, cord case, water bottle, hand sanitizer, windbreaker and so much more

Decent
It's pretty decent quality. Lots of compartment space and abundant straps and locations to attach items.
