Good value
My hermann's loved it. The only issue I had was I received the product with the lid popped off. I'm not sure if this is due to the extreme cold temperatures we've been having or not. I just put it in a container instead.

Recommended for tortoises, not so much for kids
When we got our tortoise, the person at the pet store recommended we give him these little crunchy, multicolored things that kind of looked like Grape Nuts. We were told that it would provide him with some much needed nutrition that he wouldn't be getting from the leafy greens we were feeding him. Only trouble was that after we noticed he was done eating, all of the greens were gone and left in the bottom of the bowl was a little pile of rainbow Grape Nutt-y things. While part of me was very impressed at his ability to sort those little nuggets out of his meal, the other part knew that I now had to find some other way to balance out his diet.So back to the pet store we went and these melon flavored bits were recommended. This one was a perfect match. Our tortoise loves them. They do have a pretty good melon smell, almost. Good enough that my daughter decided to give one a try. Not recommended, apparently. But that's why they're not for her. They're for the tortoise, and he's a fan.

Tardis the tortoise loves them
We have a picky eater that won't eat any of the "tortoise foods" but she loves these. We sprinkle them on her green or grass and she gobles them up.

Color variety is absolutely normal with this!
This item I have always used for my reptiles . I bought the iguana version for my lizards back then and I always used this for my sulcatas. As far as the complaints about the color looking rotten , it explains that color can vary based on production . People obviously still don’t read labels because this is right on the bottle . My baby sulcatas of course never ate this so it takes a few attempts for them to get accustomed to it to try . I highly recommend!

okay
my box turtle tolerates it when i feed it to her, but will not eat it by herself. i like it bc i can keep in refrigerator and it's easier to use than real fruit. turtle knows it's not "real", though.

Improved toroise appetite! Immediately bought another one in a larger size!
My tortoise is a picky eater and didn't eat for days even after I had given him a variety of fresh and dried foods. When I put this in, he scarfed it all! Now, he is eating normally! It smells good and I like how there is moisture in it unlike other tortoise food. It is easier to chew and is another way for him to get more water in his diet.

which is nice for when he's being finicky
I have a baby sulcata tortoise and he absolutely loves these! It's much cheaper here than in the store, so that's a bonus. The color draws him in immediately to eat, which is nice for when he's being finicky. I have not had any problems with this food. His shell is healthy and nicely rounded, his eyes are bright, he's alert and active, his expulsions are normal, and he's still the super sweet baby that loves to cuddle.I recommend this food as a tasty treat to any sulcata parent!

I have to admit they smell good enough for people to eat lol
Tonka the tortoise loves these. I have to admit they smell good enough for people to eat lol. They smell very fresh and have to be refrigerated once they're opened. Great as a treat - usually give them to him a few times a week.

Doesn’t think it is food!
My Tortoise will eat wood, grass, dirt, lettuce, tomatoes, strawberries and mostly anything put out on his food dish.. But will not even attempt to eat this stuff. Disappointed because it doesn’t allow for a return and it was expensive.

Very picky eaters are hesitant
For young babies this may be more accepting, but to my 3-7 yr Olds, they'd sooner be on the screen
