I work in healthcare and know that insurance does not always cover testing for vitamin deficiency. My husband and I tried this hair strand test and it was easy to complete and the results came back very quickly. The report KS easy to u derstand.

Having never had a vitamin deficiency test done in a doctor's office to compare the results to, I can't really comment on the accuracy of the results. All I can say is that the deficiencies listed in my report made sense to me based on what I know about my health and diet. The directions for collecting the required hair sample were very easy to follow. It took about 2 weeks between submitting my sample and recieving my results. My questions for customer service regarding my results were answered within 14 hours of asking. I was so excited about this test. I was feeling not the best and am currently going through menopause. I got the results after taking this test and loved the app etc. it seems very informative. I also happened to get bloodwork done at my Dr’s request. My results showed a severe vit d deficiency. But the 5Strands test showed no issues at all with this vit. Very disappointed and feel like it was a waste of money. I will go to the dr from now on for health information moving forward.I would like to say though that this brand has an amazing dog allergy test that changed my dogs life! It indicated all of his allergies and we changed his food and all his issues cleared up.

I am extremely happy with the results of this test. It is super easy and convenient since the return label is already included. The information is accurate. I knew of only two of my deficiencies due to my digestive issue (SIBO) but the test show things that totally make sense to my condition. For those wanting to take care of your health, this is a great way to start with.

Let me be clear it is a good product and it was easy to use and the results are helpful.This is not a vitamin and mineral test for finding out the amount of vitamins and minerals in your body, it is a test for what vitamins and minerals your body has a hard time absorbing.Just felt a little misled by the other reviews I saw saying they were deficient or not in certain minerals, this will not tell you it you are deficient it will just show which you absorb easily and which you don’t absorb easily. (This is because only a blood test can test what you are actually deficient in)However, this is useful and I will be cross referencing with a blood test if this accurately predicted vitamins and minerals that I have a hard time absorbing are also what I am in fact deficient in.(Felt misled and made me think some reviews aren’t real because other users specifically said they were measuring deficiency. Maybe they just misunderstood the results. Maybe I also made a mistake, so if the business reaches out to me and explains it I will change my review to 4 stars because I did have a good experience overall and I own a business myself and know my customers misunderstand things I say all the time)

Great customer service, fast results and shipping, results are a little hard to understand tho. Overall good test for the money.

This gave me answers to so many questions. So many of my levels were so low, stuff no doctor ever tests for. The customer service was good, the process was easy and the results were way more than I expected. Now I can supplement and hopefully get to feeling better.
