Agri-Fab24908 Axle, 5/8-Inch

Bought this for a missing axle on something I bought that lost parts in the mail (open box). Easy to cut and drill. Amazing what can be found on Amazon!

I used this to widen my wheels on a herbicide sprayer. Bought a 40 gallon poly tank to replace a 15 gal. Longer than needed but was easy to cut to length and drill for pin. I bought this axle for my hand truck. The wheels went bad so I bought new one that were for a 5/8 axle instead of 1/2. I welded it on, cut it to length and drilled a new coffee pin hole and it works perfectly. I would recommend this axle to anyone.

The axle is long enough to fit most cart applications, but adding the setscrew collars and hack-sawing off the excess is easy enough. Lucky for me I have a drill press so I can re-install the Cotter pin in a different spot, but using the setscrew collars may serve the handyperson better. Oh, yes, the material is hard enough to serve as an axle for a medium load, and soft enough so it can be hacksawed and drilled-through by ordinary means.
