Bosch2608597662 CYL-3 Concrete Drill Bit, 7mm x 60mm x 100mm, Silver

Bought Bosch as I thought it would have been made in Germany. Was disappointed to find it was made in China.Drill was fine, although I haven't used it a great deal, so it would be unfair to comment on longevity.Could have bought cheaper from Screwfix but I guess having it posted through your door is worth the extra unless you are buying lots

I need to drill 3 holes 7mm diameter about 50mm deep in old brickwork. I have been warned that the brick is very hard, and my standard masonry drill bit only made it through the plaster and about 10mm in. This drill bit worn out in less than 5mm drilling in one hole - a complete waste of time and money.

Bought to drill 5 holes 30mm deep into concrete, only managed to get the first hole 10mm deep despite mains drill and much effort. Made in China I see on the pack.

Way better than the regular masonry bits I've used in the past and barely any more costly. Next day delivery meant I had it pretty much straight away. The ease it cuts into brickwork and concrete lintels means much less work for my hammer drill.

I love Bosch kit but sadly this bit let me down and blunted quickly on breeze block and normal red brick after a couple of holes. Shame

Purchased to replace broken Bosch bit in set. Usual Bosch quality. Highly recommended
