Fairly easy to install (depends on where you want to put the lights). I chose the bimini so the lights would provide lighting inside the boat and can be adjusted RGB to whatever color is desired based on use-case.White light when loading, unloadingBlue light when relaxing or hanging outRed light if you want night vision to be unaffected for star gazing, etc.The sound-synch mode is fun, and adjusting the sensitivity using the bluetooth connect smart phone app, you can get it to cycle through light colors very nicely with the beat of the music, which everyone loves.The LED strips have great 3M adhesion and stuck very nicely to our bimini rails (which I cleaned with alcohol). The wires are routed along the bimini rails down to a spot behind my captains chair, and I put the electronics (not waterproof) inside a clear "Husky" brand plastic waterproof box I bought at home depot, and drilled a hole under it for the wires, and mounted to the side of the boat wall using two-sided 3M tape.I installed the light strips on the under side of the Bimini frame rails so when you fold it up for storage and transport, the strips are positioned in such a way that they are not touched or put under any stress. The power and control cables are routed along the rails held by UV resistant zip ties, trimmed, and “melted” slightly to remove the sharp points on the nylon ties from cutting them off. Looks very clean and professionally installed.The App is connected via Bluetooth to the control module and allows for a bunch of settings like solid on, any color in the RGB spectrum, pulse mode, and of course our favorite Sound Synch mode.The control module and + power are connected to an accessory bus under the dash so they only operate when the battery and accessory switches are turned on, but make sure you turn the lights off before shutting down because the next time you turn on the battery the Bluetooth module will turn the lights into the last operating mode… meaning if you forget to turn them off in the app and turn off the battery, they will turn back on the next time the batteries are on. This isn’t a big deal but if your Bimini is folded up and has the cover on the lights will activate inside where you can’t see them (this is specific to my install since I chose the Bimini).Overall they seem like high quality and I recommend.

These lights are awesome for my boat. The music sync is a neat function, and the ability to dim the lights is great! Easy to install and the app is user friendly.My Bluetooth control box stopped working a few months after normal use, but I reached out to their customer service and they are sending me a new control box for free! Great warranty program, and they stand behind their products.Great product overall!

The media could not be loaded. Had a company install these on my car for $350 but I decided to tackle it myself for our pontoon boat. Took an hour or two but I’m OCD. Product is well packaged and straight forward. YMMV depending on how you need to run lights in your boat. I started in the battery bay and made runs of wire under the boat and up into other compartments following alongside speaker wires already there.

Lights are super cool! I contacted customer service due to operator error and they were able to troubleshoot shoot the problem for me! Excellent customer service! The lights also look Excellent on my boat, really took it to the next level

I was expecting more when I purchased this. And the Blue tooth control app sucks. And if you need help, forget Sat. or Sun. support service. And there web help page appears to be shut down.So after spending Fri. evening installing this kit, I can only use half the advertised features.Sadly I drilled holes for the mounting clips & to run & conceal the wires so I'm kind of stuck with the kit, otherwise I'd be asking for a return. May still fight for a return if I can't get a responce to why the app won't allow full control of options.UPDATE, LIGHTS ARE NOW BURNT OUT. LOOKS LIKE THEY OVERHEAT?STRONGLY ADVISE YOU SAVE YOUR MONEY & SHOP ELSEWHERE.

I bought a set of aluminum underglow lights and two sets of grill lights, one installed in the grill and one in the engine bay. You can adjust the brightness and choose a single color or switch between colors automatically, with brightness and time settings for the speed of color change. You can change settings for one set or all 3 sets together from a phone via Bluetooth.After about 6 months one of the light strips in the engine bay partially stopped working. The warranty is for one year on these so I submitted a replacement claim and within a day Opt-7 support contacted me to start the process. They are sending me a replacement strip, plus a spare one too. Very happy with their responsiveness and customer service!
