Very good quality, makes a huge difference in an area rug.

Package arrived safely. Easy enough for me to manage on my own and cut just a bit off for best fit. I can't have certain surfaces on my LVP, so this was the perfect alternative.

The rug pad does it's job well. It cushions the rug while protecting our hardwood floor. We have no complaints about its functionality.Our main issue was that it was too long and wide for the rug, requiring us to shorten it in both directions. That was much harder than we expected. Heavy scissors didn't work. A box cutter and a razor didn't work. We finally used an electric carving knife to do the job. The sturdiness of the pad makes cutting it more difficult.Our pad is now in place and working well.

good quality, deadens sound and softens tread

The reviews for this pad were mostly good with the occasional horrific review. I took a chance hoping the law of averages would be on my side. I am glad it worked in my favor:). The pad was cut and sized perfectly for my 5 something by 8 something rug. I my area rug is actually 5’2” x an actual 8’ . The pad comes just to within an inch or so on either side, so it is certainly 5x8-ish. Did not have to trim this pad at all. As far as the thickness-the description said 1/3” thick, and it might be that thick in some places, but it is more like a generous 1/4” thick. I’m totally fine with that as the price for those 5x8 flimsy gripper pads were between $32 and $37 at the home improvement stores. This is more like standard carpet pad so I am satisfied with the price and free and quick prime shipping. It was dumb of me not to take a picture of the actual pad before I placed it under the rug and my couch. It is worth noting though that the appearance was nice and tidy-no jagged cuts, no crap falling off of the pad or needles or foreign objects protruding from it. And absolutely no red marker lines that bleed on the rugs as mentioned in some reviews. It seems the supplier has taken the complaints from previous reviews seriously and rectified those issues. At least for my order!

The item arrived just as described. The width was also exactly as advertised. I read many reviews and this rug pad had the best reviews and price as well. I bought a rug for my master bedroom which is all hardwood floors. After reading up on it, I found out that having a rug without a proper pad underneath on hardwood floor will eventually discolor and damage the finish of your hardwood floors. We just had all of our hardwood floors re done and I wasn't willing to risk doing any harm to them. So... hello rug pad. This rug pad does not contain chemicals or a scratchy backing that will damage your floors over time. It is guaranteed to keep your floors protected. Because this rug pad and the rug over it will going going underneath a bed and bedroom furtniture I do not have to worry about it slipping. (My rug and pad are 8' x 10') I would however recommend if you have a smaller rug to look into something that will provide protection from slippage. As other reviewers stated the actual size of the rug pad is really 8 feet x 10 feet and 4 inches. So I simply used sharp scissors and easily trimmed off the 4 inch excess. I actually prefer that it was a bit longer rather than it arriving too short. Overall, this is a great rug pad for people looking to keep their hardwood floors protected !

I have acid stain concrete floors and you shouldn't use rugs or rug pads with any kind of rubberized backing. It can ruin the top coat. I also use them on my beautiful wood floors. These are the best. I have very large rugs, so there is no slippage.
