The Amazing Spider-man Movie Classic Costume

Purchased this costume for my 7 year old son for "Costume Day". It fit him perfect and he's on the husky side of life. The quality isn't that great but for what is was purchased for, it was perfect. My son wears a 10/12 so parents I know that the sizing chart on this product doesn't help so I hope this review gives you a little insight of size.

My five year old LOVES this costume. He has had any number of spiderman halloween type costumes and has worn them to shreds. He has found them frustrating as the velcro "buttons" don't hold together, and he doesn't like the fake muscles. But he also really wanted a REAL spiderman mask that covers his face "like the teenagers in New York.'He has somehow gotten the idea that there are roving gangs of teenagers in New York performing breakdance flash mobs all the time dressed as Marvel superhero characters. Thanks YouTube!He begged for this costume as an early birthday present and since it's "dress up as your favorite character" day this week in kindergarten, we gave in and got it early. He loves it! I love it! I love to watch him strut around and dance in this costume. He looks just like a little miniature spiderman, not a kid in a halloween costume.The costume is much better quality than those halloween costumes, even though it was not more expensive. The back still closes with velcro, but so far it has held (only a few days though.) The small (size 4-6) fits him perfectly, and he is on the small side for almost 6. And the mask is perfect! He can see through the embroidered eyes but his face is covered, and it fits snugly and doesn't fall off when he does cartwheels and flips. There are some small holes near the nose/mouth area and he has no trouble breathing. He feels so grown up wearing his "teenager" spiderman costume.One happy kid!

material is a little thin but great value, kids just love it. Fits as described and looks nice. I bought two the kids beenrunning in it for a long time so I would consider it reasonable lasting

Oh definitely 5 stars! Well made indeed. My grandson normally wears a 7 slim pant and size 8 shirt, at age 6 and a half. I had no idea how the size ran on this costume and so I bought a 10/12 just to be on the safe side. It is definitely big on him, but he's fine with that, especially since "Grandma, you have to wear it over your clothes!" He loves the included hood/face mask and the bottoms of the pant legs are slightly elongated so as to look like boot covers - I was glad I didn't go to the extra expense of buying those. I did buy gloves, however, and the color is definitely not a match, but he is happy and that's what counts to me. When he first asked for this for Christmas, I groaned - how was I to find a Spiderman costume *after* Halloween? Amazon came through again! Shipping, as always, was speedy. I would buy again, but I have to say that this costume is not junk - I really don't have to worry about the rigors a normal first grader would put it through. Well done!

I purchased this item in small as it is EXACTLY the size worn in all other clothing. This was SO TIGHT you could barely get it fully on. In fact, we couldn't without damaging so had to return to Amazon. Buy a size MUCH larger then you need. Believe me, you'll be glad! Also, VERY inexpensively made so expect one use.

We noticed the seam popped open on the face mask within 2 hours of wearing it, not sure if that was caused by stretching over his head or if it came like that since he opened it. Seems to fit true to size, but not very well made.

I read a lot of confusion with the sizes, so had a hard time deciding what size to get my son. So I wanted to make sure I post how this item in a medium fit my son. He is 45 lbs and 45" tall, I ordered the medium and it fits pretty well, a little long and with room to grow, so he will be able to wear it for awhile. But not too big that he's tripping over it. I'm glad I didn't buy the small, it would've been too small. The face mask is a little bit tighter fitted, but is comfortable and fine for him. He was so excited to get this costume since he has outgrown the old one.

The costume was just what our 8-year old grandson wanted. However, it had a 5-inch long flaw in the front when he took it out of the bag. I would have sent it back immediately but he didn't want to be without out for even a few days. He has had the costume for three days and I have already replaced the velcro closures with a zipper. Several more flaws have developed around the neckline. The quality of the knitted fabric is very poor so replacing it with another one of the same would not really solve the problem. I'm sure he will continue to wear it until it totally falls apart. When it's time to replace it, I will have to do some serious shopping around.
